Hi Charlie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
How it all began
16 Years Old Started following a diagram and setting up rooms for the next event at a Banquet Center with 7 Banquet halls and a hotal in New Jersey. Soon I became a waiter, at 19 years old I Became the Youngest Maître D’ at the 3 Banquet Centers that the Town & Campus Banquet Center (T&C) Hotel Owned. I grew up in Suites and Tuxedo’s. I was on a roll; I found a Career that I Fell in love would span for over 53 years and still going. Feeling Blessed to find a career that would give opportunities I never dreamed of.
At 20 I became an Assistant manager at the T&C. At 21 I was Designing Events and Partys Interaction with the Clients. After the Events were over Many of Us would head over to New York to clubs like Regimes and Studio 54, we always got in because we were dressed to the 9’ and our Clients Connections.
At 23 I bought my first restaurant with my brother Mike. Two Banquet Halls, Disco Lounge, and a restaurant that I converted to showcase with Singing Waiter and Waitress singing Show tunes for the Dinner crowed. At 24 ½ we had a kitchen fire under insured we lost it all. I move to California Hermosa Beach in 1979. What a time to live at the beach
