Community Highlights: Meet Celeste Creel of Celestial Medicine

Today we’d like to introduce you to Celeste Creel.

Hi Celeste, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I had always been immersed in the worlds of theater, dance, and music -but my secret passion was metaphysics. I say “secret” because these topics were definitely not accepted where I was going to school in Western New York at that time.

I actually changed universities, transferring to San Francisco state, just to feel a little more free to explore in this way. And I did! I studied under a Wiccan High Priestess and later a Shaman. I walked a very strict path of Christianity for a time and was later attracted to Hinduism. It was like a revolving door of spiritual, mystical teachers and experiences. But I noticed that with all of the experiences and knowledge I had, my life was a mess! I felt connected to God, and always maintained a buoyant spirit of helpfulness- but I didn’t seem to get what I gave. I had zero boundaries in relationships, financial struggles, and at one point while I was working steadily as a professional model in Los Angeles I was struggling with a coke addiction – yet people were still always coming to me for advice. It was comical.
I tried to get away and got as far as Guangzhou, China where I was hired to sing in a cover band. The environments where I was preforming were very seedy- even worse than Los Angeles, so I started praying every morning and every night before work, asking for protection.

Those prayers sparked transformative experiences, like waking up with hot hands—mysterious signs I didn’t understand at first. After leaving China, I went back to upstate New York and is isolated myself, detoxed, meditated. During this period, a pivotal healing session changed everything—I met a Reiki healer who cleared my aura and pranic tube, cut cords, grounded me. I felt relief, peace and self-acceptance for the first time in forever. I dove into Reiki and became certified, and after 6 months returned to LA. I quickly created a happy, healthy and abundant life for myself and I owe it all to Reiki. I’m not saying life was perfect- I still had challenges, but I finally had an empowering way to cope with any stress, confusion, habits, or any issues that would surface. I focused on self-healing treatments for the first two years of study before becoming a Reiki master. I opened Celesstial Medicine in 2012 and have been healing, teaching and mentoring ever since. The idea of retreats grew from my desire to connect with my international clientele and teach them Reiki in person. Our first retreat in Ireland in 2019 was pure magic—an exhilarating, blissful experience I’d relive in a heartbeat. I can’t wait to host more of these transformative journeys and share that incredible energy with even more souls eager to heal and grow.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The biggest struggles are the practical side of running a business. I just wanted to heal- but I have to wear so many hats. From digital marketing, web design, and office management/admin. It took me years to get all of that in order and find the right people to delegate responsibility to. Throw in an international retreat and now you’re a travel agent!

Boundaries can still be an issue. That is changing as people learn to respect that healers have professional training, but there are still wounded/runwaway-healers, and Instagram influencer spirit-ho’es that give real healers a bad rap. Sometimes I forget that I do this as a profession. I’m no one’s “Magical Negro”. You may not call me at 2 am, You do have to pay me, and I won’t clear your boyfriend from your aura in a checkout line at target.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?

As owner and founder of Celestial Medicine I am certified as a Master Teacher in Usui, Karuna, Kundalini, Holy Fire III, World Peace Reiki and over 100 advanced Reiki energy systems. I also am trained in Integrated Energy Therapy, (or I.E.T.) Pranic healing and herbalism.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
My first piece of advice would be to “Embrace hermit mode.” AUltimately, no one else replace your connection to God or Source. Recognizing and trusting the sound of your inner voice is paramount because some teachers, mentors or networks are meant to appear to “fail” you on your path to discernment.

Next I would say “Learn from people who are still learning!” The more openness and humility a teacher or mentor has, the more receptive they are to Source energy and thus, guidance for you from their higher soul.

“Don’t skip steps!” This spiritual seeker thing- it never get’s “done”, and there is no “there” there, so enjoy the journey. Don’t get seduced by the notion certain abilities equal a better connection to God or Source. That’s ego and it will trip you up. I was fortunate to have teachers and mentors that did not try to fast-track me to become a healer. They weren’t running a Reiki “mill” with a “my way or the highway” disposition. I was encouraged to work solely on myself for two years before taking a master class, and even then I didn’t attempt to take on clients until I felt certain I could be a clear channel for others and not take on their burdens.
