Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Mitchell.
Hi Brandon, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey has been a unique one, shaped by creativity, family, and a willingness to embrace different opportunities. Before starting Ladies Lounge, I worked as a freelance model, which allowed me to explore different styles, looks, and forms of self-expression. That experience helped spark my interest in the beauty industry and ultimately inspired me to pursue something of my own.
Today, I co-own and operate Ladies Lounge with my wife, Alissa. We started with a vision of creating a space where people could come to feel confident, express themselves, and enhance their natural beauty. Over time, we’ve grown into a one-stop shop offering a variety of services, including lash extensions, makeup, microblading, waxing, permanent jewelry, teeth whitening, and tooth gems. Our business is based in Whittier, California, and we take pride in welcoming everybody who walks through our doors.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Of course, the journey hasn’t always been easy. COVID-19 had a tremendous impact on our business and forced us to take a step back. Rather than giving up, we returned to our vision board and rebuilt Ladies Lounge from the ground up. That experience taught us the importance of resilience, adaptability, and staying committed to our vision, even when things don’t go according to plan. Another defining moment in my life came when I lost my mother around the time I began my career as a peace officer for the State of California. I had to report to an academy in Northern California while my wife was pregnant with our daughter. Being away from my family during such an important and emotional time was incredibly difficult. I wanted to be there more for my wife and be present through everything she was experiencing, but I also had a commitment I needed to fulfill. That sacrifice weighed heavily on me, and it taught me a lot about responsibility, perseverance, and what it means to keep moving forward through difficult circumstances. I’ve now been in the department for seven years..
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

Our business is based in Whittier, California, and we take pride in welcoming everybody who walks through our doors. In addition to my work in law enforcement and running Ladies Lounge, I’m also a men’s physique competitor. Each of these roles represents a different part of who I am, but they all require discipline, dedication, and a willingness to keep growing.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
God Willing, we’ll have a bigger and better location, we’ll continue with adding services based on the needs of our clients. As far as my career in law enforcement I will
Continue to use my experience and skill set to move up through the rankings in the department. Next year, 2027 I plan on doing more physique shows and getting my IFBB pro card in Mens Physique.
