Community Highlights: Meet Bill Weatherford of SoftWave Vitality

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bill Weatherford.

Hi Bill, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
For more than 20 years, I built a successful career in pharmaceutical sales leadership. I was traveling, managing teams, and checking all the boxes of what “success” is supposed to look like in corporate America. But despite the titles and the accomplishments, I felt empty. I wasn’t connected to my true purpose, and I knew deep down that I was meant for something more authentic and impactful.

That turning point came when I personally experienced SoftWave Tissue Regenerative Therapy (TRT). After years of shoulder pain, I was told surgery was inevitable — yet within just 12 sessions, both of my shoulders healed naturally. That experience got me excited about the technology, but more importantly, it awakened me to the possibility of creating a career that was about healing people, not just selling products.

In April 2025, I opened SoftWave Vitality in Los Angeles — the only stand-alone SoftWave clinic in California. I started with zero patients and a dream, and since then I’ve had the privilege of serving over 430 new clients in just a few short months. We were profitable in our very first month and have seen triple-digit percentage growth month after month as word spread. That growth confirmed what I believed from the beginning: people are searching for authentic care, and when you lead with compassion and results, the community responds.

Today, I get to serve clients from every walk of life — from unhoused neighbors to professional athletes — and what fulfills me is not just watching them heal, but knowing that I’m finally living my own purpose. Opening SoftWave Vitality wasn’t just about my shoulders healing. It was about me finally stepping into who I really am.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been smooth, but every challenge has been a stepping stone. When I launched SoftWave Vitality, I didn’t have prior experience running my own business. I began with a space inside Skinbiotic Med Spa, one SoftWave machine, and the drive to help people. While I had strong training from the SoftWave TRT company and a personal coach from Boston who mentored me for three months, there was still a significant learning curve.

In the beginning, I was doing everything myself — from treating clients to managing operations and trying to figure out marketing. Within six weeks, it became clear that the demand was growing faster than I could handle alone. That’s when I strategically began building a support team: an advertising agency to run campaigns and educate the community, an executive assistant to manage the day-to-day, and later a strategist to help scale the business sustainably.

The early struggles taught me that growth is not about doing everything yourself, but about surrounding yourself with the right people and systems. Those decisions transformed initial challenges into the foundation for our rapid momentum and success.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about SoftWave Vitality?
SoftWave Vitality is a regenerative therapy practice in Los Angeles and the only stand-alone SoftWave TRT clinic in California. We are dedicated exclusively to SoftWave Tissue Regenerative Therapy, an FDA-cleared, research-backed technology that uses unfocused shockwaves to stimulate the body’s natural healing response. Our work focuses on reducing inflammation, accelerating tissue repair, and helping clients move pain-free.

What differentiates us is specialization and service. While many clinics or med-spas may offer SoftWave as an ancillary treatment, we’ve built our entire practice around it. This allows us to deliver more refined protocols, greater expertise, and a higher level of client results. Equally important is our philosophy: whether we are treating an unhoused neighbor, a weekend warrior, or a professional athlete, every client receives the same compassionate, personalized care.

From a brand perspective, we are most proud of the reputation we’ve earned in such a short time. Since opening in April 2025, SoftWave Vitality has served over 430 new clients and earned 36 Google reviews — every single one of them 5 stars. That kind of feedback tells us we’re not just delivering results, but also creating an experience where people feel seen, cared for, and supported.

Looking forward, our vision is to expand significantly. We plan to open two additional clinics within the next 18 months so more people can access this life-changing technology. At the same time, we are building a nonprofit arm to provide care for clients who cannot afford treatment. One of the most difficult parts of my work is when someone comes in desperate for help, experiences relief after their first session, but then can’t proceed with a proper treatment protocol because of financial limitations. That’s not how healing should work. Our nonprofit will ensure that cost is never the barrier to someone reclaiming their health and quality of life. For us, growth isn’t just about business — it’s about impact, and making healing accessible to everyone.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My biggest advice to those just starting out is: don’t wait for perfect conditions to begin. If you have a vision that aligns with your authentic self, take the leap and trust that you’ll learn along the way.

When I launched SoftWave Vitality, I had never run my own business before. I started small — with a treatment room, one SoftWave machine, and a willingness to serve. What I wish I had known earlier is how important it is to build support around you quickly. Trying to do everything yourself only limits your growth. Once I brought in an assistant, a strategist, and an advertising partner, it allowed me to focus on what I do best: serving clients and building relationships.

For anyone beginning their journey, my advice is to lead with authenticity, stay rooted in your purpose, and invest in the right people and systems to support you. Growth doesn’t come from having all the answers upfront — it comes from staying consistent, learning through the challenges, and keeping your mission at the center of everything you do.

Pricing:

  • .Yes — we offer an introductory first-time mapping session for $59. This includes a full consultation, education on the SoftWave technology, and a complete first treatment. The session allows new clients to experience the therapy firsthand while also giving us the chance to map out the areas of pain or injury and explain the recommended treatment protocol. We’ve found this is the best way to introduce people to SoftWave, because once they feel the results and understand the science, they see the value in committing to a full program. Our goal with this introductory session isn’t just to lower the barrier of entry — it’s to give clients hope and clarity about how their body can actually heal.
