Community Highlights: Meet Angie George of Esthetics by Angie

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angie George.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I went to school for skincare in 1997. I worked in Beverly Hills right out of school and haven’t stopped working since. I got a job at a spa in Studio City in 2000 where I remained until 2017. In 2008, it became a medspa so I became a medical esthetician. I worked in the same room for that 17 years. I went out on my own in 2017 renting a space in another medspa. I moved to my current location in Valencia in 2021.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a pretty smooth road. I was very lucky to have had the opportunities I did.

We’ve been impressed with Esthetics by Angie, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a medical esthetician. I rent space in the Paseo Club in Valencia. I perform many treatments such as, microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, acne treatments, peels, Hydrafacial. I pride myself on learning and incorporating techniques that I use in my treatments. I live what I do and always make sure my clients know that. I want them to feel comfortable and relaxed and want to keep coming.

How do you think about luck?
I was very lucky to have been offered a job in Beverly Hills on Rodeo Drive a month out of school. Timing was everything.
