Check Out Starry ’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Starry .

Starry

Hi Starry, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I wanted to be in a fairytale world of magic and whimsy… where sound and art collide “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” 😉 My favorite song. ^^ I am quite shy so I like to write poetry…hmmm… I think this is where I begin the story…

Where I am now…wow I have connected with such supportive talented artists like from Rizo Corp Gallery who has helped me tremendously in giving me the platform that feel magical and safe for creative introvert like me… Huge shoutout and thanks to Isauro Rizo. And I wouldn’t be where I am without my music producer Rick Mayelian and believing in me. Our song “Till Sky Rains Fireflies” started to play on fm college radio station since November 2025 on daily rotation. Such an exciting feeling to experience…
Also, I have been fortunate to team up with talented music producer Aaron Edwards, with my latest single release “My One and Only” and “Final Kiss” that has been getting so much rave around the world. We have so many new songs on the way, and I am so happy and excited for the endless possibilities. May this isn’t real, maybe this is a dream…
“Welcome to my dreams, where everything is as it seems…” -STARBR33D (Till Sky Rains Fireflies-하늘이 반딧불이를 내릴 때까지)

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Of course we all have battles on our journey called life, internally and outer world. I guess my struggle is shyness and being too sensitive. But I have met so many amazing fans, friends and supporters especially in the past few months that I feel like I can fly. I am beyond blessed and I thank God for always watching over me.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a singer/songwriter. STARBR33D music is an unique blend of k-indie, shoegaze, alternative, indie, electronic rock, dreampop, post-punk.. my music envelops listeners in a dreamlike ethereal haze, inviting them to explore the depths of emotion and imagination with poetic lyrics in Korean and English. Both friends and fans say I reminds them of girl Nirvana, Courtney Love from Hole, Cocteau Twins, The Cranberries, and Mazzy Star.

In addition to my music, I love to arts and craft and paint.
I really love everything I do because I get to use creativity in many ways, from painting up my own merch t-shirts to making cute lyrics in a bottle trinket merch to writing poetry to thrifting and creating my costumes…
At my new single release party for “My One and Only”, it was a masquerade party so everyone dressed up and wore masks and I had designed a heart shaped pink cake with arrow going through it. I am a terrible baker/cook so my dear friend who helps me with my merch branding and my costumes, made the delicious cake <3

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Being so introvert and shy, it was huge risk of my personal space…very scary. So scary I would cry after the show all the time. But I have dream of wanting to build a world of magic and whimsy …that I can share with like-minded fairies, starseeds, aliens, queens, kings, and princesses, green blue purple in all colors of the rainbow…

Risk is scary but “I have a dream,” as Martin Luther King Jr said.
