Check Out Sonja Scherer’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sonja Scherer.

Hi Sonja, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I always wanted to be in entertainment, as little as 4 years old. I remember I saw Britney Spears on MTV for the very first time & that’s when I started singing and dancing, that brought me so much joy that since then I evolved a passion for my talents. To this day I’m a huge Britney fan, I am obsessed with pop culture & hollywood. When I was about 12 years old I saw Hannah Montana & that was when I wanted to become an actress, I remembered I went on to Google trying to apply for disney and several movies in the US, finally I went through getting the casting director for the walking dead on the phone since they were casting european actors as well, but unfortunately that didn’t worked out. In 2014 I auditioned to participate on the X-factor UK, I flew out to london to aim for the stars and that was a very fun experience, but nothing what I had imagined. In 2017 I got an oppurtunity to be Lindsay Lohan’s Assistant, but it unfortunately didn’t worked out last minute on my part which I so deeply regret to this day but hey, life is full of second chances. A few years later I decided I wanted to become a model, which always was in the back of my mind but at that time the modeling industry didn’t had the diversity it has today, so I started out with a modeling coaching back in 2022 and learned that I would be a great fit to become a beauty model professionally. We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I feel like everyone has bumps in the road starting out in this business, with me, personally, I struggle with rejection, I remember I would write and write e-mails applying for jobs until my fingers hurt, only for not to be chosen for the job, that can be very frustrating at times but you got to remember to never give up and to persist. To me, this is my passion, this is what I want to do so I’ll always believe in myself and in my creative vision. I currently promote myself through my instagram- I also like posting singing videos, fashion, beauty & lifestyle content on my Tik Tok. You can only rely on yourself and I feel like the day you’ve made it you’re actually going to be grateful because it wasn’t always easy, so on that note I hope that this day comes when I get an offer to model for a big brand. Skims and Rare Beauty are my goals!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My name is Sonja Scherer & I’m a new face model from Bensheim, Germany. Born & raised in germany but living in the american dream as I’d like to say. I enjoy to be in front of the camera, I want to make it in Hollywood with my talents for modeling, acting, singing & writing. America has my heart. I just launched my own management, So She Management, but for now it’s just me, being my own manager, but hopefully I can expand it one day with an possible business partner & staff to become a legitimate Agency to support talents just like me who want to make it from the ground up. It will definitely going to be a safe & supporting space for newcomers and artists. I strive it to be a place of diversity, all shapes & sizes, female empowering of course and all backgrounds, etc. Eventually also a space for male artists, called ‘So He’. I’m very ambitious, I would like it to work out for me first so then I can go on guiding others achieve their goals, I do have sone valuable tips I’d like to share someday, because we’re all here to live our best lives. And I would also like to put out my own songs that I wrote, a fragrance and skin care line too one day. I told you I’m very ambitious.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favourite childhood memory would be traveling to different countries & cities, like switzerland, italy, abu dhabi and london. Enjoying a beach day in Sri-Lanka. I think my childhood self would be proud knowing she made it onto an LA magazine.
