Check Out Sam Watson’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sam Watson.

Hi Sam, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I began writing songs at 14, but didn’t start official recording until I was 16, which marked the beginning of my journey to pursue music seriously. From then on, I took on multiple roles, including producer and studio engineer, allowing me to have complete control over my music. I could envision the entire sound, including every detail, without even hearing it. While I’ve had guidance along the way in learning the music industry, publishing, and more, I’ve always approached my music career with the mindset of a full-time job, a mentality that I maintain to this day.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My life hasn’t been without its challenges, particularly the struggle to maintain my confidence over the years due to constant rejection and disbelief from others. Despite achieving success, the repetitive cycle of negativity threatened to overshadow my accomplishments. My advice is to persevere and have faith in yourself.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As I mentioned earlier, I’ve also acquired titles such as producer and studio engineer, which have enabled me to collaborate with and assist other artists. Through these experiences, I’ve gained valuable knowledge that I now wish to share with others. I’m still amazed at how far these skills have taken me, and I continue to strive for improvement in my craft. I care deeply. What sets me apart is the drive to see not only myself thrive but the people I believe in the most as well.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
To put it short, I started out as a rapper first.
