Today we’d like to introduce you to Revin Andagiri.
Hi Revin, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started out by creating merchandise—specifically T-shirts—and working as an illustrator selling my art on Instagram; I’ve continued doing this alongside my Visual Communication Design studies and freelance work.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Things didn’t go smoothly at first when I launched my T-shirt merchandise project; initially, there was little interest in purchasing or joining the pre-order, but over time, awareness grew and my client base expanded.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As an art student, I sell my work on social media and work as a freelance graphic designer; I also create merchandise—such as T-shirts—as a way for interested individuals to appreciate and wear my art.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Instagram and X as platforms to sell my work and find clients.
