Today we’d like to introduce you to Noam Peri
Hi Noam, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m a singer-songwriter who moved to Los Angeles about a year and a half ago to pursue my dream. I studied at the Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, an experience that changed my life. I’m currently working on publishing my first album in English and have already released two singles, which are available on all platforms. My music is influenced by 70s rock with electronic touches and alternative pop rock, and my lyrics are full of touching and intimate words that tell my story to the world.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It was really tough to leave my home and move to another country by myself, but I’m glad I did it. Even though I feel a lot of longing and have many questions, I believe it was part of my personal growth. Making music, apart from the creation itself, is a powerful way to connect with the audience and seek love from people. Sometimes, it can be very challenging, and you find yourself asking a lot of questions – wondering if it’s even possible and if you are good enough. However, what guides me, and I assume other people and artists as well, is to follow your truth, let your heart lead you to where you need to go, do what you love, express yourself, and let the world do its thing. In the end, we will get where we need to be.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I have been a singer, writer, and composer for as long as I can remember. I identify as a queer independent artist. Through my music, I aim to represent a large community whose voices are sometimes marginalized. My goal is to show people that they are not alone and that others can relate to and understand them. I have often felt misunderstood and that there are no songs that capture what I feel. I create 70s rock music with electronic and vintage pop and alt-rock influences. Most of my songs revolve around the theme of heartbreak. I write from the bottom of my heart without compromising.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
For a long time in my life, I was involved in education, which was a significant part of my life. It taught me many things about myself and the society we live in. This experience led me to want to be significant to people, to help them, and to make them feel loved and united. I believe that this can be achieved through music, art, and creation.
