Check Out Matt Bachman’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Matt Bachman.

Hi Matt , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started song writing when I was fourteen. I was in the L.A. music scene at an early age performing at the local clubs. I was drawn to the whole allure of the live music scene. Playing guitar and writing songs was my passion and I’ve continued to pursue my passions with my latest project Kicked Out Of The Sky. I’ve released an EP in 2023 “Levity Of Lies” a single in 2025 ” Wasting My Life Away” and soon to be released EP in 2026 “Happiness Is Overrated”, with the first single “Better Part Of Me” dropping Nov. 13th 2026.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road indeed. I was into drugs and alcohol over the years and that made my life challenging and often added more drama then needed. In and out of several musical projects do to my own distractions and dealing with my own demons. As of late I am sober and I have had the most success since my sobriety. The music business is difficult. I am definitely taking it one day at a time and trying to enjoy all the amazing parts of creating and finding joy in songwriting, recording and sharing my art with the world.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a songwriter. My music style is pop punk /alt rock. Song writing has always been a part of my life. Lyrical movements, singing, guitar melodies have always come to me, and as of late I write all the instrumentation and record all my demos at my home studio to bring all my musical creations to life. After I record the demos I work with some of the best producers in the business. My 2023 EP was recorded with Mike Plotnikoff. My last single and latest EP was recorded with Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount of ZK Productions. What I’m most proud of is staying true to my musical direction and continuing to write from the heart and about my life experiences without the assistances of AI. All my songs are from real life experiences.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I don’t know if it’s surprising, but I tend to be a loner, even know the social aspect of the music business is huge I do spend a lot of time songwriting, spending time alone while creating, recording and promoting my music.
