Hi Marty, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Starting Egyptian Elegance back in 2020 was a leap of faith fueled by my passion for fashion and a deep appreciation for my cultural heritage. The vision was clear: to create a brand that embodies the timeless beauty and rich history of Egypt. Despite the initial excitement, the journey was far from easy. 

Launching a clothing brand during a global pandemic presented unforeseen challenges. Supply chain disruptions, production delays, and financial constraints tested my resolve. Each setback felt like a personal loss, and there were moments when giving up seemed like the only option. However, I stayed strong, driven by the belief that Egyptian Elegance had the potential to make a mark in the fashion industry. 

Parallel to my fashion endeavors, I had been pursuing a career in music for two years. Despite my efforts, finding proper management and gaining the necessary exposure to advance my music career proved elusive. Balancing both passions was a juggling act, often leaving me feeling stretched thin and under-resourced. 

Yet, I refused to let these obstacles define my path. Each loss in the business was a lesson in resilience, pushing me to refine my strategies and adapt. The struggles in my music career taught me patience and persistence. Through it all, my dedication to Egyptian Elegance and my music remained unwavering. 

Today, I continue to build Egyptian Elegance with the hope of seeing it flourish while also striving to advance my music career. The journey has been tough, but every challenge has only strengthened my resolve. I am committed to both passions, confident that with perseverance and hard work, success is just around the corner. 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My biggest struggles have mainly revolved around funding my own business and music projects. It’s a constant challenge to secure the financial resources needed to bring my ideas to life. Despite my dedication and hard work, finding consistent funding has been an uphill battle, often requiring me to take significant personal and financial risks. 

Additionally, I often invest my time and energy into people who turn out to have poor intentions towards me. This not only drains my resources but also affects my morale and focus. It’s disheartening to realize that my efforts to build meaningful relationships and collaborations sometimes lead to disappointment and setbacks. Balancing the pursuit of my passions while navigating these personal and financial challenges has been a formidable task.

I am most known for my unwavering determination to succeed in life. Beyond my background in sports and firefighting, my creativity in modeling and music has captured the attention of many. However, in today’s world, talent alone often isn’t enough. It feels like you have to compromise a part of your integrity to advance, suggesting that the most successful people have often sacrificed something essential about themselves to attain wealth. 

Despite these challenges, I am most proud of my loyalty to myself. I have set boundaries that I refuse to cross, no matter the temptation to be seen or heard. My commitment to my principles remains steadfast, and I believe that true success comes from staying true to oneself. 

Any big plans?
My future plans are to stay focused on building brands and to stay creative in my crafts. I am committed to honing my skills and consistently delivering quality work. With perseverance and dedication, I hope to one day make ends meet and achieve success on my own terms, trusting in the timing of the universe.
