Today we’d like to introduce you to Karla Labrador
Hi Karla, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been party planning and decorating since I was a kid. There wasn’t a gathering that went without my touch👌🏼. As an adult, it was just a hobby, something I did for fun
I was able to share and develop my skills in the whirlwind of responsibilities as a wife, mother of three girls, PTO President and room mom, I found solace and fulfillment in my artistic endeavors. The positive feedback I received only strengthened my conviction that this was my true path. I love to be part of ALL CELEBRATIONS and my artistic work expanded to work friends birthday’s, house warming celebrations, grand openings, meet & greets, bridal showers, baby showers, weddings, etc
Now I live by the motto “an event may last a day, but memories last a life time.”

I started my candy and cupcake table business in 2010 after injuring my ankle. I went public on Instagram in 2018 with rustic backdrops, candy jars, and balloons. Looking back, I’m grateful for this journey and never imagined the balloon boom that would come during the pandemic. I was one of many small businesses bringing joy and happiness through balloons during a challenging time. Thank you to all my clients who trusted me with their balloon decor. Seeing the joy on their faces, from children to adults, was incredibly rewarding. And yes, I’d do it all again. Now, I’m in my BalloonBoss era, and I’m loving every minute of it.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Can’t complain, the struggles just gave strength to keep going.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
The diversity.
The homeless population (it’s out of control).
