Today we’d like to introduce you to Joslynn Pack.

Joslynn Pack

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Well, my mom was a huge a trailblazer for me. She was constantly filling our house with music, films, magazines, and fashion growing up! So that being said, it allowed me to have an interest in so many mediums of art with an eclectic taste, so that’s my start. I think I’m still finding myself as an artist, so I’m not really sure where I am now. I’m taking my time as I explore different mediums and areas of interest, but I know I’m headed towards a place where I’m able to be authentically artist. It’s an exciting journey I don’t want to rush!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not; I’ve had endless doubts. And I have to constantly reassure myself that I have the right to go after what moves me. I get in my head a lot. That’s my biggest struggle, being in my way! But I look back on the work I’ve done, and it’s a reminder that I not only love creating, but I’m capable of making something beautiful! When I feel lost, I look for inspiration through art, nature, or my community!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar with what you do, what can you tell them about what you do?
I do a little bit of everything! I’ve dipped my toe in photography, videography, modeling, styling, creative direction. All speak to me! I’m in school for film right now because it’s a combination all so many mediums of art. I’m mostly known for modeling, though, but I would like to change that. I don’t know how I feel being in front of the camera anymore; I want to tell stories.

I’m most proud of any shot I’ve done with a small, intimate group that’s resulted in amazing work. It’s impressive to see what a few people can do.

I think what sets me apart from others is my ideologies. I’m not interested in being in the rat race or status. I just want to express myself and make cool art with my friends and other cool people.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I’m a Sagittarius! So, that being said, I’m ruled by Jupiter, the planet of luck! So, I would said I’m really lucky. I’ve had endless luck that has helped my life. I wouldn’t even be in Los Angeles hadn’t it be for luck. My sister helped me out a lot, so that in itself is luck to me! I’ve been lucky in business in the sense that I’ve crossed paths with some really amazing people who have open doors and experiences for me.
