Check Out Hicham And Samir HARRAG’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hicham And Samir HARRAG.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Growing up in France, food was always at the heart of every gathering fresh ingredients, beautiful presentation, and the joy of sharing a good meal. When we moved to Los Angeles, we noticed how rare it was to find authentic French catering that felt both high-quality and personal. Most options were either too formal or lacked that genuine French warmth.

That’s how Oui Oui French Catering LA was born: a way to bring the French touch directly to people’s events through live cooking stations, fresh ingredients, and an interactive, joyful atmosphere. We started from scratch no network, just our culture, work ethic, and belief that people would appreciate a true French culinary experience.

In the beginning, we did everything ourselves shopping, cooking, delivering, cleaning, and promoting facing cultural and logistical challenges along the way. Each obstacle taught us how to adapt, connect with clients, and stay true to our identity.

Today, we’re proud that Oui Oui French Catering LA is known for its unforgettable events, talented French chefs, and authentic flavors. Our mission has always been simple: to create moments that people will remember, because food made with heart always leaves a lasting impression.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a smooth road but every challenge shaped who we are today. When we launched Oui Oui French Catering LA, we had no local network, no existing client base, and no roadmap for breaking into a highly competitive market like Los Angeles. We had to do everything ourselves: sourcing ingredients, cooking, delivering, cleaning, and promoting, often working long days and nights.

We faced cultural differences, logistical hurdles, and the learning curve of running a business in a new country. There were moments of doubt events that didn’t go as planned, tight budgets, and the constant need to adapt to new situations. But each struggle taught us resilience, sharpened our problem-solving skills, and reinforced the importance of staying true to our vision.

Those early challenges pushed us to be creative, resourceful, and client-focused. Looking back, they were the building blocks of the brand and reputation we’re proud of today.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
At Oui Oui French Catering LA, creativity is at the heart of everything we do. In this business, you have to be creative on multiple levels not only in the kitchen, but also in how you adapt to American culture, manage the business, and connect with clients through marketing.

Culinarily, we specialize in bringing authentic French flavors to life in a fresh, interactive way through our live cooking stations. Every menu, every presentation, and every event is designed to be unique, memorable, and tailored to our clients’ vision.

Culturally, we’ve learned to blend the warmth and tradition of French hospitality with the energy and diversity of Los Angeles. That means understanding our audience, honoring our roots, and making the experience feel personal to each guest.

From a business and marketing perspective, we focus on standing out creating a brand that’s not only about food, but about moments people will talk about long after the event. We’re most proud of building a reputation for authenticity, excellence, and unforgettable experiences in a city where competition is fierce.

What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to us is creating authentic, meaningful connections through our work. Food is more than just a product it’s an experience, a way to bring people together, celebrate moments, and create memories that last. Every event we cater is an opportunity to share a piece of our culture, our passion, and our story.

We believe that when you put heart into what you do from the ingredients you choose to the way you welcome each guest people feel it. That’s why we focus on quality, authenticity, and genuine hospitality above all else. Seeing our clients happy, hearing their laughter, and knowing we’ve helped make their day special is what drives us every single time.
