Check Out Danny Hudson and Jack O’Neill’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danny Hudson and Jack O’Neill.

Hi Danny and Jack, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
We both started off as Baristas at a local Shop in Huntington Beach several years ago. We found a passion for coffee and wanted to share our own creations with a broader audience. After a lot of research and discussion, we decided to open up Bristol Street Coffee, named after where we grew up.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a business with your best friend seems like it would be smooth sailing, but there were a lot of learning curves along the way. Like any business, there is a lot of hustling, dedication, and nurturing needed. Coming from the barista world, learning the legal side of running a business has been difficult. From learning health code regulations, phone calls with the county, and QuickBooks we had a lot to learn.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At Bristol Street our passion and mission is to share our love of coffee. We are known for our smooth blends optionally paired with a dash of our house made syrups and/or topped with unique cold foams. We are exceptionally proud of serving our community an outstanding cup of coffee. We spent many jittery days and nights testing and working to find our perfect blend. Our classic coffee blend paired with non-traditional and creative additions keep us striving to try new things as well as constantly improving our craft.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
Were both really big fans of the Bigger Pockets podcasts and books. They helped us get our finances in order and inspired us to start a business of our own. The Acquired podcasts are always a treat to listen to and learn from. Sometimes for a good laugh we enjoy Smartess and My Bother My Brother and Me!
