Today we’d like to introduce you to Danni Gyrl.
Hi Danni, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am a singer/ songwriter and performer who has been in the music industry for 20+ years in various capacities. I decided to study law (which I’m certified in) and business law and business management before going full-time into music with the mentality that it would help me in my negotiations. In November 2015, I negotiated my first club residency as a host and promoter at the Stardust Club in Downey, CA. I started hosting every 3rd Sunday night with my resident DJ, DJ Krunk, until May 2016, when I decided to relocate to Las Vegas, NV and conquer new territory. After a few successful years in Vegas, I returned to the LA in December 2021 and came back with a new passion for the music and the music industry. I launched two annual festivals that continue to grow every year and have acquired a few sponsors along the way. I have been able to increase my clientele dramatically. Returning home wasn’t in the plans, but it has absolutely been amazing. There is absolutely no place like home.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a challenge to step out of the shadows of a mother who worked for various record labels in the 90s. She’s also an amazing gospel singer with her own singing career as well. I had to create my own lane to be seen and taken seriously. It’s also been a struggle adjusting to being a public figure and what comes along with it. In the beginning, it’s hard to get people to believe in your vision and invest in something they can’t see so it was a long road at first but I kept pushing and believed in myself. It was also a struggle for ppl to see that I had the knowledge to work on music. I stayed in the shadows so long, people didn’t think I would be successful at my attempts to start my business and teach other artists about the industry and to develop them.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m the owner of D’vine Management and Entertainment Group LLC. I specialize in indie Artist music. I’m a concert promoter, event planner, artist development coach, celebrity personal assistant and I have several other job titles as well. I’ve been working with Indie Artists and small businesses for the last ten years to help them grow their craft and expand their brand by offering marketing as well. I’ve very quickly built a company that brings people from all over the US to Los Angeles to participate in our events. I’m most proud of starting two major annual events that people look forward to, the DMEG Pre Summer Block party and our end of the summer FMC festival. These highly anticipated events has doubled in attendance over the last two years and still growing. What sets me apart from other people in my capacity is the fact I work based on talent and potential not budget. I’ve been able to help a lot of artists who didn’t have the financial means of moving forward. I’ve found that if I’m a blessing to others, God will make sure I’m taken care of…. and that has been the case. I’ve been patient and moving strategically and it’s been a constant state of progress, even when the progress is slow.
What’s next?
Currently, I am expanding our company. In 2024 we will be starting several new ventures, including working with a client for Super Bowl 2024, launching the DMEG Entertainment Awards, our 3rd annual DMEG Block Party, and the 3rd annual FMC festival. I’m also looking to drop my second single as a recording artist.
