Check Out Damian Raven’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Damian Raven

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
A native of California. I grew up in the silicon valley of San Jose. My Career began at the age of 5, when my mother Elaine Raven, and I bumped into a well know actor from the TV show S.W.A.T. and given a contact at the “Brebnar Agency” in San Francisco. Before long, I was on billboards for Macy’s, Emporium & Capwell, Levis, and Mervyn’s as well as touring California in various fashion shows and commercial shoots. From that point on I have dedicated myself to being an Actor, Singer/Songwriter, Martial Arts & Yoga instructor, as well as a Scriptwriter.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
At times it has been smooth road, and at other times I have had my struggles. I think that part of my becoming a true artist was knowing that life my is part of my art. If all the roads are smooth then my artistry will reflect it as such, and in the same respect when I struggle then my art reflects that. The balance of the two create a picture as well, so everything I experience becomes a part of my art and although smoothness can be wonderful struggles give me texture.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
It’s difficult to call what I do, work. I have worked for over 25 years in the restaurant business and that is work. My career as an actor takes a lot of work, but the experience of it, for me, is joy. I love playing a Hero, a Villain, a Cowboy an alien, a Father, the best friend, the Guy next door, or your worst nightmare. They are all my specialty, I can’t say what I am most proud of when it comes to my career, because every role has been a gift and I have given my all to every role, but I can say that I am most proud of being a Father to my two beautiful children.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
I am so grateful that I have had so many wonderful adventures as an actor. I am so grateful for all of the people who watch my films and TV shows. I love being an actor so thank you all so much for making that possible.
