Hi Britni, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story started when I moved from Seattle to the sunny streets of Los Angeles, ready to dive into a career as a hairstylist. I’ve always loved the idea of empowering women and making them feel radiant, so LA seemed like the perfect place to make that dream a reality! As someone who loved getting my own lashes done, I couldn’t believe how hard it was to find a salon that offered the right mix of quality, customer care, and fair pricing. I knew there had to be a better way.

While styling hair, I started doing lash services on the side, and the response from clients was incredible! They loved my natural, seamless style—and they especially appreciated that I could get them looking fabulous in a fraction of the time. That’s when it hit me: I could create a business that combined my passion for beauty with a focus on lashes. It was a chance to bring my dream of helping women feel their best to life, just in a slightly different way than I’d planned.

Ten years later, I’ve built a salon that’s become a beloved part of the Santa Monica community. My heart still skips a beat every time I see a client light up after seeing their lashes—it’s that magical, confidence-boosting moment that keeps me going. I’m so grateful for every step of this journey, and I love knowing that I’ve created a space where women can feel beautiful, uplifted, and empowered.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It certainly hasn’t been a smooth road, but every bump has taught me something valuable! Two years into my business, I decided to start a family, bringing new challenges. Balancing my time between my growing family and the salon was a real struggle, especially as I tried to hire lash designers who shared my commitment to quality and service. Finding the right people took time, but I was determined to build a team that reflected my vision.

Then, of course, COVID-19 brought its own set of obstacles. Like many in the beauty industry, we had to temporarily close our doors and adapt to new safety guidelines. It was a challenging time, but it strengthened my resolve to keep going and find creative ways to support my clients and team. Looking back, I’m grateful for each of these experiences because they’ve helped me grow stronger, both as a person and as a business owner.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a lash designer, specializing in volume lashes, and I was one of the first in the area to offer both mega and volume lashes. Over the years, I became known for creating natural-looking, seamless lash designs that enhance my clients’ beauty in a subtle, sophisticated way. But what I’m most proud of are the relationships I’ve built with my clients. Many of them have been with me for years, and they’re more than clients—they’re truly like family. I cherish the bond we’ve developed, and I feel so grateful for the way they trust me, share their lives with me, and have remained so loyal.

What sets me apart is my commitment to going above and beyond for each person who walks into my salon. I want every client to feel like a cherished loved one, and I do everything I can to ensure they leave feeling beautiful and valued. That dedication to building genuine, meaningful connections has been the foundation of my business, and it’s what makes my work so fulfilling.

What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is making a real impact in someone’s life, and it’s not just about the lashes. Of course, I love helping clients feel confident and look amazing, but there’s more to it than that. I want each person who comes in to feel valued and seen like they’re in a place where they can truly unwind and just be themselves. Whether we’re chatting about life or I’m just offering a space for them to relax, my goal is for them to leave feeling lighter, more confident, and ready to take on the world. It’s those moments that make this work meaningful for me.
