Check Out Amy Jaime’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amy Jaime

Hi Amy, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started making music in 2020 in this midst of the pandemic just like everyone else! I have been singing for way longer than that thought I did not grow up in a musical family so everything I have learned is self taught. Within the past 4 years of being able to create my own music I have met so many incredible walks of life because of it and have been able to travel to other states for live performance opportunities.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
A lot of ups and downs. A lot of losses. I wouldn’t change it for the world anything that had complicated my career and personal life has shaped me into the woman I am today.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a singer. I make music in both Spanish and English. What makes me different is my versatility I put into every song I release. I’m a huge music lover and listen to just about any and every genre you could possibly think of. When I first started creating my own original music I was releasing only English music. Spanish music has always been on my mind but I was too afraid to start doing something different. I felt that I had to only stick with one thing only. That’s the beauty of it though never get too comfortable because it keeps you in a box. Being able to appreciate my culture and to love the significance and positivity with being bilingual I personally think it gives me a broader and wider audience and I love that.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory was going over to my grandmas. I was always there 24/7 growing up. Growing up as a child my favorite movie was Rugrats Paris. My grandparents had the orange VHS tape and I would watch that movie almost every single day. There was one day though that they did not let me watch it and they wanted me to go outside instead which is totally understandable now as an adult but as a child that made me want to lose my sanity! Which I did. I ended up climbing up onto the chair and grabbing all the vhs tapes on the book shelf that my grandparents had and threw them all over the room lol.
