Today we’d like to introduce you to Allison Bagg
Hi Allison, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been interested in holistic health, the esoteric, the occult, and magic ever since I can remember. It’s hard to say what’s nature or nuture, but either way my curiosity and pull to spiritual modalities really amplified after my mother died when I was 17. I endlessly began studying consciousness and energy to deepen my connection to the unseen and unheard, and especially to feel more connected to my mom and ancestors. This led me to explore different modalities and trainings to activate new perception. I am still very much on a journey as a seeker, investigator, and mystic, to understand magic and myth. The spiritual path is a spiral with no center and an ever expanding circumference! It is a journey of forgetting and remembering – and I am grateful to be The Fool and the The Alchemist at different junctures. Currently, I offer sound, breath and yoga nidra journeys around LA (and globally)!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Over the years I have faced doubt, imposter syndrome and the witch wounds that arise as a facilitator. It has also been a big journey in grounding and discernment. I struggle with capitalism within the wellness space. This field itself is murky, and for lack of a better term, dangerous. It is also going through a major shift at the moment. Never before have so many people been open to holistic healing and exploring treatments and methodologies outside of western medicine, which is great. But because of this growing interest, there has also been an infiltration of other agendas in the space. I always encourage others to be very careful as to who and where they open to when it comes to wellness and energetics. An affirmation I typically try to infuse in my offerings is: you are your own healer. A practitioner should always remind you of your intrinsic magic, power, and gifts rather than make you feel reliant on them.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I love educating on the science of sound, vibration and frequency. I desire to merge the hemispheres of the brain by fusing science and spirituality, two areas that have been silo’ed away from each other but are actually in search of the same answers. For this reason, one of my strong suits is bridging seemingly disparate things together and creating harmony and coherence. (I am a Libra, after all!) I also strive to make things accessible and easily digestible that may not have previously felt that way (Virgo Rising). My intention is that people leave a sound or breathwork session not only feeling more grounded, centered, and clear, but also with a new understanding of themselves, and a few tools to add to their toolkit for downregulation and stress management.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I truly believe that we are experiencing expansion in all directions at all times – things are falling into entropy (chaos) just as they are falling into syntropy (harmony). I get excited to see the collective speaking about past life regression and inner child healing so openly, whereas only just 5 years ago these were relatively unknown terms. Wellness and tech are merging in ways that require us to be open to new tools but also remember more ancient traditions and keep the oral teachings alive. I really feel that the goal is to remember what lives in our DNA rather than seek quick solutions outside of ourselves. Be wary of focus on ascension and instead choose grounding, a slower pace, and simplicity – good water, good food, and good energetic hygiene. We have introduced a lot of noise (pollution, EMFs, chemicals) into our environments and will need to really pare things down. Natural fibers and eco furniture!
