Check Out Ajaxx’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ajaxx

Hi Ajaxx, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started falling in love and doing music at an early age because of my father. He played piano, sang, and he also wrote songs for various known artist. My granny put me in piano lessons and the church choir early on. I also Played the clarinet through elementary and middle school. Once i got into HighSchool I joined the drum line since my school didn’t have a band. During HighSchool i entered a rap competition and ended up taking 2nd place, so i guess you can say music has always been apart of me. After High School i started rapping and making my own music with friends where i would always be the one behind the computer recording everyone. Then one day a close friend Travis aka Pesovelli asked why wont i just go to school for engineering, and that question sparked the idea which took me to The Los Angles Recording School where i graduated with my degree in Recoding Arts in 2012. After graduating school i was fortunate to intern under midi mafia and their engineer Reg thanks to someone thats like a big brother to me Earl Johnson. During that period i learned alot of techniques and business that continues to help me now. After that i went on to engineer for Rostrum Records and a list of their artist, intern at Atlantic Records during the traplantic era, engineer for Roc Nation and a list of their artist, as well as a bunch of Los Angeles artist that are making big names for them selves. I also have credits in TV and Film, even been apart of a film that won an award at a film festival. After engineering for 10 plus years and working with so many great artist i got inspired to create my own music again. Now not only do i engineer as a profession i also have released 3 singles so far and im releasing my first solo full body of work Feb 17th 2025. Hard work, passion, love for music, and support from family and friends have gotten to where i am today.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This has definitely not been a smooth road. Sleepless nights in studios trying to make a name for myself in an industry that is cut throat. Broke days eating off the dollar menu and sleeping on couches in studios chasing dreams. Losing some of my biggest supporters along the way. In the beginning being new and not really knowing the business i have been in some bad deals and cheated out of money. Those situations definitely taught me lessons and how to not be in those situations again.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am an Audio Engineer /Artist. I record mix and master music, rewire studios, produce music and just help in all things creatively when it comes to music. I specialized in making records sound clean. Im proud of all of my work and the integrity i kept getting to this point. What sets me apart is my unique ability to get along and mesh with everyone. People leave the studio after working with me feeling like they have known me forever and are very comfortable creating with me. I help make the work flow smooth and easy.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Being humble and knowing you don’t know everything. Being able to enter a room knowing confidently you can do the job but being open minded enough to learn the clients style and learn from each session so your next one is even better.
