Today we’d like to introduce you to Giuseppe Giofre.
Giuseppe, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
My love for dancing, pushes me as a child to follow some classes in an amateur dance studio in my little city in the south of Italy (Calabria) Gioia Tauro. At the age of 17, I moved to a bigger city Reggio Calabria to study in a professional way hip-hop and jazz funk. At the age of 18, I crown one of my biggest dreams since I was a kid, competing on a TV show called Amici.
Episode after episode, I received good reviews from judges as a Sharon Stones and lots of professional people of the dance industry and I make it to the end to the final and I won the show and also Got a great scholarship for training 6 months at the millennium dance complex in Los Angeles.
September 2012, is when I start my professional career thanks to Brian Friedman, he saw me in class during my scholarship and then he brought me to London and I got to dance at the X Factor UK, after that I started working on my visa and finally on 2014 I moved to Los Angeles and pursue my career and follow my dreams so here starts everything.
We’d love to hear more about your work. What do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
Dancing was always a big part of me and pushing myself on getting to my goals and working was always a point in my head, working and following my biggest dream. One of the biggest dream was to Dance for Britney spears, and I finally made it. Unfortunately, the show was cancelled a month before, but I had the opportunity to work with her and realizing that everything is possible in life, we need to be focus and work hard everyday. My message to every single artist out there is to never stop dreaming, I’m 27 but inside I’m still a little boy with lots of dreams .Don’t you ever stop doing that.
What do you think it takes to be successful as an artist?
As an artist you have to think just about your personal goals and whatever for you is a success that’s the most important thing. We all have different dreams and different life but once you achieve something you wanted for a while, that is your personal success, and to succeed on that we have to be focus and passion it about it.
Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
On the past I’ve been on tour 3 times including some other small tour,Jennifer Lopez lately and Taylor Swift was the first artist to work with and 2 big tour with her I learned a lot.
Some of my experiences jobs and work are on my website giuseppegiofre.com
