Today we’d like to introduce you to Brett Browning.

Brett, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
From as early as I can remember, I have always had a passion and natural attraction to art and expression. Growing up in a household with six children where a lot of things had to be shared, my art was one of the few things that I was able to call my own. It had started very early for me with a connection to music and dance. With dancing at family functions, parties, and drawing small crowds in public places I found that I could bring joy to people by expressing myself. After realizing my natural gift for entertaining I then moved from music to acting and found opportunity in that. What was once a hobby for entertaining then evolved into a way to establish a career and provide for not only myself but for the people around me as well.

Over time I went from dancing and acting to also developing talents for writing, poetry, and drawing. Over the years those talents have given me the ability to work and pursue my dream in music and entertainment. As of lately, I have been working hard to establish myself as a recording artist and use my talents as a way to introduce my audience to the many faces that my artistic works take on.

Can you give our readers some background on your art?
My art has taken on many forms over the years but I primarily have found joy and success in creating music. With my music, I have found a way to put into words my emotions, thoughts, and experiences in order to tell a story to my audience.

Initially, I had started writing songs at the age of 13 as a way to connect with my younger brother who had taken an interest in music production at the time. Realizing the potential that I had, I decided that embracing my talents and pursuing music full time would help me make the positive impact that I had sought to make since childhood.
With my music, I have taken on many roles in order to ensure that my art is presented to the audience in its purest form and embodies the complete vision that I have for it. From recording, engineering, and distributing, to marketing, promotion, and video production, I have many hats that I wear in order to present my art in the best ways that I see it.

The message I hope to convey with my work is that even though opportunity may seem absent at times, staying determined and believing in your capabilities will take you to extraordinary places in life. Although there is still quite a long path ahead of me in my journey I find happiness in the realization that progress is made daily and each step is essential to building a promising future.

Any advice for aspiring or new artists?
There are several pieces of advice that I have carried with me over the years but the most important advice that I would give to any artist is to believe in yourself, believe in your art, and trust every step of your process. Nothing worth having in life comes easy and at times the belief in yourself may be the only thing there to motivate you. In hard times never second guess your capabilities or doubt your potential. I have always been a firm believer in the thought that the moment you begin to believe you are ordinary is the moment you become ordinary. Embrace the difficult parts in your journey and use them as fuel to create and inspire.

The only lesson I wish I had the opportunity to learn earlier is to enjoy every moment, good or bad, in your pursuit for success. Every experience in your journey will be another layer that will add to your story. There will be events that may spark creativity or will become lessons to share in order to teach and inspire others. So with each moment of struggle or bliss, embrace it fully and allow it to bring you closer to your goals.
