Today we’d like to introduce you to Paulina Dmytrenko.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine in a family of great musicians and actors. My father is an artist and former keyboard player in the legendary Soviet Union Rock Band “Zemlyane”. My mother is a master of the sport and rhythmic gymnastics in the Soviet Union.
My parents was my biggest support team when I started to sing. My father was my mentor who helped me to grow up professionally as a singer after I was inspired by Mariah Carey at the early age of 12.
I was dreaming that one day I will perform at US stage. And as a big dreamer at such a young age I had that feeling and belief, that hard to explain, So I followed my vision and destiny and enjoyed all the experiences on my music path.
By 20, I already performed in Kremlin at Red Square biggest Concert Palace in Moscow, after I took second place at the Russian version of Music TV Show “Pop Idol” and become the first girl from Ukraine who got such success between three countries (Belarus, Russian, Ukraine).
I performed at different countries and cities on big and small stages, arenas, and stadiums throughout Europe. I performed in Ukrainian version of “X Factor” in Kiev, Ukraine; on “The Voice” and at “Eurovision” Song Contest in Europe all the while I was working with multiple producers, and my songs and my smash hit “Drips and Drops” was released by Universal Music Publ. GmbH all over the world.
I first came to America in 2017 when I knew it was my destiny, and my talent spoke as my voice. I met independent movie producers and one who put me in their new movie “Retribution” that is on Tubi TV /Fox Corporation in 50M US homes that features my legacy track “I’m Ready” and a new song in the closing credits. I played the role as a Russian singer along with other Hollywood high-level actors.
Specially for this movie, I recorded the exclusive soundtrack “Bad Russian Bitch” which was wrote and recorded before the terrible situation in Ukraine.
I feel more than ever how precious our time and life is. Especially when my family is there, and they’re waiting and praying every day when everything will be good again. I live with this hope where the Leaders who’s run the countries, will help to each other more not to destroy but to build future life and prosperity on our planet!
I have now opened my own company Entertainment Artist, Artist Talent Independent Label, to help other artists build their dreams. And I have great team with a Music and TV Award Winner, Producers, and Sound Engineer who’s recorded track for the “Best Artist of 2022 MTV Video Music Awards and Number One Artist 2022 on the Planet in Rolling Stone Magazine, Bad Bunny”.
The big lesson that I learned was not to sacrifice and not to give up on my dreams no matter what. Especially if you believe in destiny, you will see that sooner or later you will be there exactly where you should be, at your right place, and be ready to take all the blessings when God gives you!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Life is always full of surprises, especially when you don’t expect. And the truth is that you not always ready for that…
So, on my path was a lot of surprises and situations that I was not prepared to meet… from music TV shows where I should become a winner to a very personal…
One of this is my marriage which affect my life much… When the first time in my life I choose love and put my dreams second, I realized that it was big mistake after my husband left me alone with broken heart and dreams/… And it took a lot of time to fix it…
The next was situation in my country Ukraine, which is unbelievable… When you born half Ukrainian and half Russian, you can’t understand and accept that there’s could be a horrible fight between your countries…
So, the only thing that you should do when you lost, broke, and in pain is to keep fighting for your life and for your dreams.
