Meet Katrina Kelley of Cigar Bella

Today we’d like to introduce you to Katrina Kelley.

Hi Katrina, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was born and raised in San Francisco, CA. I have been a nomad most of my life and have lived in many cities across the states and even short-term abroad. I started off modeling and working at the top beach clubs in Las Vegas. I always knew I wanted to be a business owner by 26 years old. I had a friend whose family has been hand rolling cigars for generations from Cuba. She actually taught me how to roll and from there the business idea was created. I realized there wasn’t a market for live cigar rollers. I launched Cigar Bella in 2014 in Las Vegas. From there, I expanded to Los Angeles and now Austin, Texas. I really love what I do. I also enjoy partaking in a perfectly top-notch Dominican cigar every so often with a glass of fine red wine.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The obstacle I faced were launching a business. My degree is business, but I never knew how to really start a business from the ground up. There was lots of trial and error but I had faith in GOD that it would work out and he would give me the strength to achieve my dreams and goals.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Live cigar rolling for all types of events. We offer live cigar rollers for corporate functions, trade shows, golf tournaments, charities, celebrity parties, baby showers, and weddings.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my most fondest childhood memories was that my mother always told me to be independent and make your own money so no one owns you. You are your own boss and you never will have to succumb to relying on a man for help.
