Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron Thomas.
Hi Aaron, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m a Billboard and iTunes charted singer, songwriter and producer from Philly. I’ve been singing and performing across the U.S. since the age of 4. You may remember me from TV showcases such as BET Sunday Best & FOX American Idol. I’ve also written and produced for several artists on NBC The Voice and FOX The Four. I have deep Gospel roots but also have a huge love for RnB music. Growing up, I always felt like I was the outcast and underdog. With not having my biological parents in my life, I’ve always pushed myself to the limit to make myself proud becoming the best man I can be. My mission is to impact people through my music and life story.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
My life hasn’t always been a smooth road. My birth parents abandoned me at a super young age. My aunt raised me. Growing up, I never felt like I belonged anywhere. Facing challenges of being robbed at gunpoint, homeless living in my car, thoughts of suicide and battling with the acceptance of my sexuality. Conquering these obstacles and achieving historic success as a black bi-sexual male proves to the world that all things are possible.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Singer, Songwriter, Music Producer. I’m most proud of one of my albums “Mine Games” that charted #4 in the country. I’m the first male LGBTQ+ Artist to achieve this milestone independently.
What sets me apart from other artists is my energy. I’ve experienced a lot in life so I can relate to anyone on a personal scale. That same love and light translates through my music. People desire an authentic connection and that’s what I bring to the table.
What’s next?
I have a lot of future plans. Outside of touring the world performing on major stages, being on some Reality TV and awards shows. I plan to release a few more projects, give back to my hometown in Philly, settle down date build up to getting married and having my own family and the list goes on. Many great things to come.
