Conversations with Athenea Hernandez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Athenea Hernandez.

Hi Athenea, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started A Lunar Gem during the first lockdown due to covid. I had always struggled with anxiety pre covid and I wanted to share the different modality’s that helped me manage my anxiety. Covid gave me a chance and the time to do what I had been waiting to unlock and share. I worked on creating grounding roll on essential oils as a start-up to my company. Later I received my attunement to become a master reiki facilitator where I started facilitating reiki energy healings and infused essential oils. Now I am A Reiki and Sound facilitator where I hold space for 1:1 or groups where they can unwind and de stress in a safe space.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It was a challenging time making a shift and virtually holding that space. The biggest struggle was breaking through the impostor syndrome. I have been lucky to have find a tribe to encourage me through my journey.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in Reiki and Sound facilitating Reiki is facilitated through the hands it is energy life force a healing treatment that works holistically on the whole body, mind and spirit while aligning chakras.

Sound baths /facilitating are facilitated through instruments that deliver frequencies that equal a deeply immersive full-body experience that relax and heal the body, mind and spirit.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I am 32 a part-time hairstylist and love roller skating your never too old to start new hobbies.
