Meet Shiino Langston of Shiino Productions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shiino Langston.

Shiino, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Well, my name is Karundo Langston but known as Shiino! I’ve been doing photography/videography for about four years now. I started off strictly doing photography to save money after I had kids, photos can get a bit expensive, so I invested and got a camera instead and unlocked the talent I never knew I had. Photography has guided me into the cinema world which I love so much! My first project under the Shiino production umbrella titled “Case Of The Ex” is releasing July 20th on amazon prime. I draw many inspirations from the people around me two of my favorite models to shoot with are rah and Sabina they inspire me to push harder everyday and remind of the goal in front of me. From when I first started shooting those two are the only two that stood by me and we have grown to be a dream team. My family is also a major inspiration I have three children a two beautiful daughters and we just welcomed our baby boy into the world they are my everything. My fiancé is my number one supporter, no matter what shes always there for me when times are rough. There has been times when I wanted to quit but she’s been that guiding light to keep me pushing! Last but not least my mother Carolyn Langston, I can’t have a story without the origin. My mom is the reason I push so hard for everything she always taught me to never settle and go the distance no matter how hard the road in front maybe!

Has it been a smooth road?
In the beginning it was a challenge, I went into this career not realizing how expensive it can be and just having my second child money was a little tight. But with friends and family pushing me we made it work! I had a lot of people that didn’t believe in my vision in the beginning as well and it was a little discouraging. But with new friends came new support and they are the reason I’m here today.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Shiino Productions story. Tell us more about the business.
My business is like my fourth child. I’m so proud of it I smile every morning knowing this is something that I really worked for and is finally being recognized. My end goal is to be a full in production company I’m a photographer first but my heart is in cinema. I love writing scenes, shooting films and shorts. I’m mostly known for my edgy unique concepts, I’m not afraid to push the envelope to stand out and be controversy! I’m most proud of the growth in the short time I’ve been doing these people tell me all the time I’m soaring through everything right now!

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see myself as one of the biggest production companies in about six years! Honestly, I know I have what it takes just need the people to see my style and how its okay to be different.
