Meet Willana Paige and Tamisha Bridges of LosT & Found Apparel in South LA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Willana Paige and Tamisha Bridges.

Willana and Tamisha, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
The business started in 2013 when my best friend, of over 30 years, and I decided to do something for Christ who’d recently delivered the both of us from traumatic experiences. She was delivered from Cancer (you May contact her for deets, Tamisha bridges) and I was delivered from a suicide attempt.

Our faith individually as well as collectively played a huge part in our getting to where we are today. Along with running our online site for Lost and Found Apparel, I found that it’ll be even cooler to design and print things for others who had similar ideas as we did and didn’t have the resources. So I started Willana Graphic Design. I absolutely love doing graphics bringing my client’s ideas to life.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
There were many obstacles we faced. Our initial challenge was not being able to vend at different events because our apparel was considered religious even better, offensive. That crushed us! Slowly we were invited to churches, homes, jazz festivals, and schools. The challenges that we come across today are personal attacks. Storms come where we’re not able to pay full attention to Lost & Found Apparel but we’re constantly reminded not to give up especially when we here that “receive order” ping on our phones and when we successfully vend at events…That lets us know, what we’re doing is not in vain.

Lost and Found Apparel is a faith-based online Christian boutique. All items are great in quality, fashionable and extremely affordable with each individual item having a great testimony behind it. One is able to represent Christ everywhere you go with our shirts and daily with our NEW tumblers and journals. I am the Founder who specializes in the designs and graphics for the company. We’re especially known for our Pretty Girls Love Jesus tee’s and Living Testimony T-Shirts, hoodies and tanks. I am extremely proud that we have a genuine testimony that we share with others who can relate to us. Being able to relate to those who were/are battling suicide, cancer, or those who just want to start a clothing line from scratch. Nothing was handed to us for free. We worked very hard to get to where we are. What makes Lost & Found unique and sets us apart form other, is we had to go through near death experiences to push this jewel out.

What were you like growing up?
I’m the oldest of 4 children. I was the only child for eight years. I was extremely charismatic growing up. My mom had me involved in tap dancing lessons, karate, and the church choir. I had tons of imaginary friends until my sister came. Lol,… Then two brothers shortly after. I remember loving to draw and playing office when I was young. That’s why it’s no surprise that graphic designing and creativity is my passion today. I love to laugh and I’m probably as goofy as they come. I didn’t grow up rich and being the oldest of four there were many days of looking like a struggle buddy. But my sense of humor kept me afloat. I spent years working in the dental field, eventually spending years taking classes to become a Dental Hygienist when I found my craft…..CREATIVITY. I was over dentistry and fell in love with designing. I absolutely love designing flyers, business cards, logos, banners, and shirts for clients. It gives me a happiness that I cannot explain with words. I don’t know how religious I can get in this interview but my gifts come straight from heaven. Most of the shirts LosT & Found Apparel and Willana’s Graphic Design sell, were shown in dreams and visions. I didn’t go to school for this. This is why I’m careful to make sure I bless others with my gift as God has blessed me…..I still charge though lolol…
