Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Jinna.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Chris. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was playing football at New Mexico State in 2012-13. Once the season was over, I decided to take my courses online and come home back to California. I wanted to continue to workout and stay active so I signed up to a local gym and trained five days a week. At the time, Instagram was still new to a lot of people & I randomly got the idea to post my workouts onto my page. Slowly but surely, I started gaining traction to my page and it held me accountable to share my fitness journey with my followers.
I’ve been in the fitness industry for over five years now… I was able to gain over 80K followers on my social media account in that time span.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I definitely had my share of ups and downs throughout my process. Since I started, every year has been a challenge to maintain your clientele because the industry becomes more and more saturated with other trainers. Makes your job that much more competitive. Those same obstacles have forced me to increase my training knowledge and bring out my ingenuity.
I grew up in poverty so it was tough to have a positive outlook on life. I thought sports was my only way out. As I got older, I realized that a career in football wasn’t my set path. Fitness became my passion and I enjoyed helping people reach their goals and that brought positivity back into my life.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am a personal trainer who specializes in weight loss and strength training. My workouts focus on core strength, endurance, & agility. My goal is to help my clients achieve a healthy lifestyle & strengthen their mind. I want them to believe in themselves.
What makes me most proud is that I was able to train a few top-tier NFL athletes
– Antonio Brown
– Leonard Fournette
My drive and willingness to maximize my full potential.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I would like to manifest what I am currently doing today. Continue to build a bigger and stronger clientele & most importantly, help people reach their full potential with their fitness goals.
