Meet Zyah Belle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zyah Belle.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.

My love for music and art was cultivated by my mother who is a choir director, and my aunt who was a vocal coach at my local church in Vallejo, CA. I got my start singing in my church’s children choir. In high-school, I went on to excel in theater and vocal ensemble.

After graduating high school, I began studying music performance at Sacramento State University and American River College. I took my gifts to Los Angeles, CA years later where I had the pleasure of recording, writing and performing with many artists such as Grammy award-winning producers 1500 or Nothin’, Zaytoven, T.I. , B.O.B, Snoop Dogg, Drumma Boy, Too $hort, and Mistah Fab.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I think being broke is always the biggest hurdle. Shortly after moving to LA I was flat on my ass. No money in the bank. Car repossessed. Homeless. But the beauty of the struggle is that it tests your character and faith! Ive come such a long way.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am known for being a singer-songwriter. I get hired for things such as background vocals, vocal arrangements and songwriting.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success for me is finding peace and happiness in your today. No amount or money can give you that.
