Tamar, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Makeup has been a passion of mine since a young age. I remember going to middle school with blue eye shadow and glossy lips thinking I knew what I was doing, looking back at that it’s quite embarrassing, but it’s where my passion started. My friends and I would always have makeover parties and would experiment with different looks, that’s when I knew that makeup was something I wanted to pursue. I kept practicing on friends and family, and when I graduated high school I decided to take a professional makeup course. That really taught me the skill I needed and gave me the confidence to pursue my passion,
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Nothing worthwhile is ever going to be smooth, there are always ups and downs, but as long as you believe in yourself and keep pushing, you will succeed!

I am a professional makeup artist in the wedding, media and fashion fields. I specialize in bridal makeup, makeup for special occasions, photo shoots, and all other beauty makeup. I also do minimal special effects, such as Halloween makeup. What sets me apart is that I believe that makeup should enhance our features, and not overpower them. I like to apply makeup in light layers, building up to reach the desired look and coverage. This way there is more control as to the amount that is being applied, and it never looks caked on.
