Conversations with the Inspiring Kimberly Nguyen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Nguyen.

Kimberly, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Interior design started as a hobby, where I enjoyed designing and staging the homes that I was flipping, resulting in those properties selling faster and for more money. From that point, I realized I could open a staging company that would help others transform their space into what buyers are looking for in today’s market.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
My advice for other women who are thinking of opening a business is to figure out what you love to do, and then create a business plan. What I have taken from my experience, is that you must have passion, work hard, and enjoy the journey wherever it takes you.

What should we know about Upscale Home Staging for Less? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My company offers staging services to homes being listed for sale. Our goal is to inspire the home buyers by showing them a finished home that not only feels luxurious, but gives them the insight and imagination they need to see themselves living in the home. We also provide interior decorating for anyone looking to remodel their home; we work with our client’s to pick out the colors, design, and furniture that fits their lifestyle. What I am most proud is that our company stands firm on our core values to deliver a service that focus on integrity, reliability, and trustworthiness.

Who do you look up to? How have they inspired you?
My mother was a big inspiration in my life and helped make me the person I am today. Growing up, I watched my mother work hard to support our family. She taught me to persevere and not be afraid of failure; failure doesn’t define who you are but provides an opportunity to learn and improve.
