Conversations with Andy James

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andy James.

Andy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my Journey as a hair dresser when I was in high school as an elective course where I fell in love with doing hair. I then assisted some of the top colorist in the industry in West Hollywood where I mastered the craft of hair color . Now I’m currently at Flore Los Angeles.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Of course this road has had its ups and downs but it’s molded me into the colorist than I am today.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m mostly known in LA for my brunette Balayage and my blonding services. I’m most proud of being able to now mentor other artists and watching them blossom as their own artists. It’s very fulfilling teaching new comers and watching them also become successful. What sets me apart from most is that I’m a “Yes man”. I will take on any project to challenge myself.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I like most about LA is the diversity the city has to offer, what I like least is definitely the traffic
