Life & Work with Cindy Tran of Anaheim

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cindy Tran.

Hi Cindy, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I grew up in Virginia and went to Virginia Tech where I got my Business Management degree. Right after I graduated I bought a one way ticket to California. I have family who lives here so I visited a lot as a kid and knew I needed to escape east coast weather at some point. It’s been 12 years and I’ve never looked back. I started my career in Real Estate in 2016 and I manage multiple real estate brokerages and also sell real estate. I love helping my family and friends become homeowners! In 2015, I’ve always been involved in event planning since I worked for a non-profit in college, so I also started working at a wedding planning company in SoCal in 2015 and I’m still on the team today as a Day of Event Coordinator. I got into content creation because I love traveling and I love sharing my experiences with my friends and family. After I solo traveled to Korea twice, I decided it was time to take content creation seriously and try to work with brands. In February 2025, I finally added my email to my bio after seeing another creator’s video tip and got my first PR package shortly after. It’s been so fun tapping into the content creation world, sharing products and experiences with my audience and connecting with more people. I’ve built a really amazing community and it’s been so fun 🙂

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not a smooth road at all. When I was in my 20’s I thought I wanted to rule the world so I worked myself to the point where my mental health was absolutely terrible. My anxiety, depression and stress levels were really high and I needed to re-evaluate my life. After working so hard from 23-29 and growing the real estate brokerage I was managing, I decided to finally quit and travel to regain my mental health. To give some more context, during my time with the brokerage, I personally hired almost 400 real estate agents, managed and trained them and grew the company from 1 location to 3 locations. It was extremely draining. My husband and I bought a house in February 2022, then I quit my job in March 2022, in September 2022 my husband also quit and we did a 43 cross country road trip, got married in Cabo, Mexico and then traveled Asia for a month. I felt a lot better and was ready to get back to work but I was so traumatized by the real estate industry that I wanted to completely change industries. I thought that my previous work experience would make me a great candidate for jobs but I struggled for a year to find another job. Went through multiple rounds at multiple companies and kept getting rejected. So that’s when I decided to use the last of my savings to travel Korea solo for 2 weeks (hence the skincare, beauty and travel content I like to share now). I was obsessed with kdramas and BTS so that’s why I went to Korea haha.

I finally got a job in January 2024 when I decided it was okay for me to stay in real estate but more in a background role that would be less stressful. I’m still with them now and with this job, I am able t0 balance content creation and events as well. Now I get to share my skincare, makeup, beauty and BTS content!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Since I work in real estate, events and do content creation – I guess you can say I”m a jack of all trades. I’m the older sister in an Asian immigrant household, I’ve always been a “leader” — maybe because I’m a July cancer and I’m bossy haha so it’s given me a lot of opportunities to always help and lead people. With content creation, I’ve created the persona of “your microinfluencer big sister” so I share a lot of tips and try to be helpful to other girls on the same journey as me.

In February 2026, I hosted my first “Creator Event” to celebrate my 1 year of content creation and I invited 40+ other creators who I knew from TikTok to celebrate with me. We had all been supporting each other online for a year, commenting on each other’s post every day, being each other hype girls and I wanted to create an in person experience where we could all finally meet and get to know each other. I rented a cafe, had 8 brands send me products for goodie bags and we all had matchas and mingled. It’s definitely one of my proudest moments because the burnout from content creation is so real and I think this event really helped motivate a lot of us girls to keep going and it made our bond so much stronger. A true day of girlhood and special memories!

I am also really big on giving back so I try to incorporate giving back to the community in everything I do. Example – my creator event has a drive for women hygiene products so every attendee brought women hygiene products to donate.

For my birthday party, everyone brought a backpack pull of school supplies so we were able to supply 34 children backpacks with school supplies.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I am very lucky to be such a small creator and get the kind of engagement that I do. My friends, family and online community already do SO much for me by just showing me love online or in person.. I am surrounded by supportive and loving people every day and it’s more than enough. But obviously a “like”, “comment”, or “repost” on any of my IG or TikTok content always goes a long way and is super helpful. Also – if anyone wants to buy or sell a house through me, I would love to help them!
