Hidden Gems: Meet Ruth Fleury of Flourish with Ruth Podcast

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ruth Fleury.

Hi Ruth, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey to creating Flourish with Ruth began with my own desire to grow, heal and understand myself more deeply.

I’ve spent many years working in education, supporting children and families, while also raising five children and building my own publishing company, Scholars Of Tomorrow Publishing. Through my experiences as a mother, educator, author and entrepreneur, I realized that I was constantly pouring into other people while learning the importance of making space for myself.

That realization inspired Flourish with Ruth. I wanted to create a space where we could have honest conversations about healing, boundaries, self-love, purpose, creativity, relationships and becoming the best version of ourselves.

The podcast is more than just interviews. It’s a space for stories, reflection, encouragement, and meaningful conversations with people who are doing the work of growing and flourishing in their own lives.

I’m still on my own journey and that’s what makes Flourish with Ruth so personal to me. I’m not speaking from a place of having everything figured out. I’m learning, growing, and flourishing right alongside my audience.

My hope is that every person who listens leaves with something that speaks to them… a new perspective, or a little encouragement. May each episode serve as a reminder that they have permission to choose themselves, embrace their journey and flourish.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Flourish with Ruth was created from a place of real-life experiences and many of the conversations I have on the podcast are connected to lessons I’ve had to learn myself.

Balancing motherhood, family, education, entrepreneurship and my creative work has come with many challenges. There have been moments of uncertainty, setbacks and times when I had to question whether I was on the right path. I’ve also had to learn how to set boundaries, stop overextending myself, and understand that choosing myself doesn’t mean I’m choosing against others.

One of the biggest struggles has been continuing to believe in my vision when things didn’t happen as quickly or as easily as I hoped. Building something meaningful takes patience, consistency, and resilience.

Those experiences are actually a big part of why Flourish with Ruth exists. I wanted to create a space where we could talk about the things people often keep to themselves: the lessons, the setbacks, the healing, the courage and the process of becoming.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
*Flourish with Ruth* is a personal development platform centered around honest conversations, storytelling, healing, self-reflection, creativity, and personal growth. Through my podcast, YouTube content, and related offerings, I create a space where people can pause, reflect, learn, and feel encouraged to become more intentional about the lives they are building.

What sets *Flourish with Ruth* apart is that it comes from a very personal and relatable place. I’m a mother of five, an educator, author, entrepreneur and woman who is also navigating her own journey. I believe there is power in sharing both the lessons we’ve learned and the lessons we are still learning.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
Some of the resources that help me do my best in life and work are my own Flourish with Ruth podcast, YouTube channel and Flourish Women’s Journal. Each one supports reflection, personal growth, creativity, healing, and intentional living.

The Flourish with Ruth podcast on YouTube channel give me an opportunity to have honest conversations and hear stories about boundaries, self-love, relationships, purpose and confidence. Listening to other people’s experiences helps me learn, gain perspective and feel encouraged as I navigate my own journey as a mother, educator, author, speaker and entrepreneur.

My Flourish Women’s Journal is meaningful to me because I use it as a tool for slowing down, reflecting, setting intentions, processing my thoughts and feelings, and reconnecting with myself. The monthly themes make personal growth feel practical and consistent, even during busy or challenging seasons.
