Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Danielle.

Hi Jordan Danielle, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I discovered my passion for curating events and bringing people together shortly after graduating college. I was fascinated with the idea that I could take a vision I had in my mind and bring it to life for people to experience. From curating poetry events, art shows, and an annual holiday toy drive, event curation quickly became something I envisioned myself doing long term. I knew that I needed more than just fun and enjoyment to produce impactful and highly valued events, and I was willing to teach myself through independently produced experience until someone gave me a chance. What I did not know is that in the years to come, God would call me to create my own table (opportunity) instead of seeking a seat at someone else’s. This calling would turn out to be something much bigger than me, and a daily reminder that at the end of the day, I’m just a steward.

In 2024, I experienced a loss I never imagined or thought would come so soon. My father had suddenly passed away. The healthiest man I knew, and it left me so confused. This loss changed everything. It changed my life, how I navigated life, and the way I chose to show up moving forward. The following months were spent grieving and unintentionally isolated from everything and everyone. This time in silence made space to get clear on what God wanted me to do once I decided to re-emerge back into the real world, which felt like a new world (to me).

I’ll never forget the moment I was sitting on my living room couch scrolling on social media when I saw some recent posts on my “for you page” from some of LA’s most popular flea markets. That when I asked myself mid-scroll, “Where are the flea markets in Los Angeles for faith based brands and Christian entrepreneurs”? This question would inspire the solution and the birth of the Favored Flea Market.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Creating the very first Faith Based Flea Market was followed by hesitation and a side of imposter syndrome. Starting anything new is scary, and the thought of creating a faith based market in a city where there’s already hundreds of other flea markets seemed like I was stepping into an already overpopulated industry. I wondered if people would want to attend something like what I was stepping out on faith to do, and most importantly, I wondered if I could do it correctly.

The first Favored Flea Market took place in December of 2024. I had 12 vendors and less than 50 attendees. As I tried to keep my composure, I vividly remember standing outside of the event space wondering if people would show up, and on the inside, I was battling thoughts of embarrassment and feeling as though I had failed, but, I knew the word I had from God and that’s what kept me going.

One of the main struggles I encountered was promotion and getting the word out about this new market I started. The audience I once had was not the target audience for what I was now doing. It felt like I was starting all over again, and in many ways, I was. I could no longer rely on the followers I had built along the way, but I trusted that if the market was something God called me to do, then He would also bring the people too.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m the founder and curator of LA’s largest faith based flea market where faith meets creativity, culture, and community. Through our uniquely curated quarterly marketplace, we provide Christian business owners and brands with an intentionally designed space to increase their brand visibility, awareness, and face-to-face interactions with new and existing customers.

The Favored Flea Market is known for being a place where people can shop, fellowship, network and experience the presence of God. We’re intentional about creating an environment that doesn’t necessarily feel like church, but where Christ, faith and fashion exist in the same space. Our market is designed for the new believer in Christ who is looking for a place to still have fun and express themselves creatively while honoring God and their faith.

I am most proud of the way our market has been a blessing in the lives of so many people. We’ve had multiple sold out vendors whose businesses have seen tangible growth just from participating in our market. Every testimonial is a reminder that we aren’t just a market – the work we do is ministry. I am also most proud of the growth we’ve experienced on social media and our attendees. Since our first market in 2024, the Lord has truly allowed the Favored Flea Market to grow in such an organic way. It reminds me of the passage of scripture in the Bible, Proverbs 19:21 that says, “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails”. God has trusted me to steward well over this calling, but it’s Him who allows it to grow, prosper, and expand the way that it has in such a short amount of time.

What sets us apart is that we’re one of the only faith centered markets in Los Angeles and many other parts of the country. We’ve had people fly in from places like London, Las Vegas, and the Bay Area just to attend our market and I truly believe it’s because of the hand of God that’s over it.
