Hi Babe, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
In 2020 my Instagram got hacked and I felt really sad so I moved onto YouTube, which is honestly more rewarding but harder.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s definitely not been a smooth ride. There’s a lot of grind involved, and finding time to edit is one of the biggest obstacles right now — I spend about 16 hours editing a single long-form video. People often suggest hiring an editor, but if I want the content to stay authentic, it really has to be me.

Financially, it’s not as rewarding as people assume unless you’re in that top 5%. You still have to grind just as hard, and the work hours run from the moment you wake up until you go to sleep. It looks great from the outside, but there’s an enormous amount of work behind every video. It’s a noble work for now. I’m the writer, the researcher, the director, the producer, the cameraman, the lighting technician, the editor, and the publisher plus marketing— I’m everything.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Hi, I’m Babe Travelling. I’m a content creator, and I’ve been doing this for 10 years — starting with blogging, then moving to Instagram, where everything was purely for fun. In 2020, my Instagram account got hacked, and that pushed me to move into long-form video. I think of it as a TV production made entirely by one person — me. Like most creators, I release one video a week.

When I started, I honestly didn’t know what I was doing, but I’ve gotten better with time. I put in the grind: attending conferences, hiring coaches, and constantly working to develop my craft. I’m hoping to keep improving, because this is it for me — there’s no Plan B.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My greatest supporters have been my mom and my best friend. My mom gave me my first camera and helped me afford coaches, which played a huge role in getting me started. My best friend still watches every video, even though we already talk almost every day — that kind of consistent support means a lot.

I’m also deeply grateful for my subscribers, both the OGs who have been with me from the beginning and the new ones who continue to show up and support my work. It means so much when subscribers recognize me and say a quick hello on the street — it’s a reminder that my videos are actually reaching people. I hope I continue to do them justice.
