Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyler Bryant.
Hi Tyler, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi, my name is Ty and I think a few things that really got me to where I am today are definitely taking risks, living life and having fun while doing it. The biggest thing I did to make it to where I am today is just not being afraid to fail or take a risk. Although some risk can be scary and overwhelming, I definitely love the adrenaline rush that comes with not knowing the outcome and the challenges that come with taking a risk because it won’t ever go how it’s planned… EVER. The next one is living life, when you take a risk you’re actually living this thing called live and not just existing. I pride myself on doing new things no matter if I fail or succeed I just want to know that I’m living and not just existing. Lastly, having fun a long the way makes it all worth it. All the stress, doubts, concerns, confusion or whatever else that comes with life I always make it a priority to enjoy the process and just have fun as much as possible. None of us know when our time is up on this earth so I want to experience as much as I can while I can!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No road you take in life is going to be smooth at all. Even if you have been given a lot or inherited wealth from family or whatever the case may be, it still won’t be smooth because life isn’t designed like that. Me personally from playing sports all my life some of my biggest obstacles have been injuries which I’m sure many other people can relate to. I’ve had minor injuries all the way to very serious ones and those definitely are major struggles because a lot of times you have this lost feeling of not knowing what to do next or how to bounce back. Of course another struggle has been just losing close friends who are considered family to me. Agin we all can relate to that on some level and losing people randomly at young ages unexpectedly is definitely something that can throw anyone off their path and purpose. Lastly a struggle that I think I’ve gotten better at is just the struggle to be patient along the way. That’s truly the hardest thing to do when you are working hard and you expect things to happen at a certain time and they don’t happen. For me now where I am today I think I’ve gotten a lot better at allowing things to materialize and happen when they are meant to happen.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m someone who is definitely very creative and I have many things that I want to do on the creative side or do more of as well. I wouldn’t say I necessarily specialize in anything yet but I do love acting! I haven’t been as consistent as I should be and life sometimes gets in the way of that which is normal but I love being on camera and just being able to bring something from a paper to real life. Acting has also helped me a lot in terms of not being shy or being afraid to talk to strangers and just being myself more. I used to be a very shy person when I was younger but now as I’ve gotten older and been on set and on camera a lot it has definitely made it easier to shake my shyness! I also love to draw whenever I can even though I’m solid but not the best, I have a guitar so I want to learn how to play it soon, I love fashion, music, food, painting, being outside/taking pictures of views, museums… literally anything creative. I would say thing I’m most proud of when it comes to myself is my ability to talk to anyone anywhere. I’m a big people person when I’m outside for sure.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
This is a great question. I’ve been thinking about this question a lot lately since my birthday is coming up and I would say my main lesson I’ve learned is to not try to control every narrative that get’s created about you. What I mean by that is sometimes we (me included) spend so much time an energy trying to clear up rumors or set the record straight when people lie on our names or say things that aren’t always the truth. I think I’m starting to learn that letting people think and feel however they want about you is okay! If someone said something about you and you know it not to be true, not feeling the need to always confront them or bring it up… it gets exhausting doing that with everyone who says something about you. If you know the truth then I encourage you to keep your power by not giving them your energy when they probably don’t deserve it.
