Today we’d like to introduce you to Richard Schulman.

Hi Richard, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, I started as a painting contractor after graduating UC Berkeley. I moved back to LA and got my real estate license at 23 in 2004. I started selling homes in the hottest market ever, which was quickly upended in 2007 during the great financial crisis. During that time I ended up helping hundreds of buyers and sellers during a terrible, traumatic time. I realized the true value of home, and dedicated my career to helping all people find home. Since then, I have sold about 2,600 homes all over LA. My team is now 15 people strong and we cover all areas of LA.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting in selling million dollar assets at age 23 was a huge challenge. Selling homes during the GFC was an even bigger challenge.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We sell homes and investment properties across the LA area. We have sold 2,600 properties – land, condos, homes, apartments and more. We focus on service to the client in making the best possible decision and getting to the best possible outcome. My team spends almost no money marketing ourselves, we spend all of our marketing on our properties. Most of our business is repeat and referral.
