Daily Inspiration: Meet Fatima Babakura

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fatima Babakura.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
We are a fragrance house based in Gombe State Nigeria with customers all over the world especially in America. The business started as a way to share my culture in a way that is universal which is through perfumery.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road in entrepreneurship is never linear. There have been some fun but also challenging times. Capital is still a huge one but we find our way around it.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We create perfumes that are inspired by culture and travel. We are proud to say that from our little factory in far North East Nigeria, we have been able to partner with notable organizations including Forbes and Harvard

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
My advice would be to remain authentic and do the good work because people will find you no matter what corner of the world you’re in.
