Life & Work with Bobbie Casalino Lewis of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bobbie Casalino Lewis.

Hi Bobbie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Oh my goodness where do I begin! I was born in NJ second generation holocaust lineage, eldest of 4 children, my mother was a tyrant and my father a true renaissance man with golden hands. I was out of my home as much as possible as a child because it wasn’t a happy place to be. Consequently, I was involved in everything at school and extracurricular activities. Athlete, cheerleader, volunteer, camp counselor, babysitter, swimming instructor and lifeguard. All of these childhood activities have translated well in my adult life. I have been incredibly successful in leading teams and building large productive communities. I love life and always bring a Glow to whatever I do. I wrote and published a book which has a nice sampling of my life adventures – “So That’s what 70 Looks Like the Essence of aging Gracefully”. I write a monthly Style column in a local magazine and am approaching 90 articles submitted. I am a bit of a daredevil and have done Corvette racing training, aerialist, an 8 and 4 seat sweep rower, pilates, yoga and you name it. I do more by 10am then most people do in a week. I just turned 76 and plan on living Vibrantly to 120. Lots to talk about. I am a mentor, guide and role model for women of all ages.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has Not been a smooth road at all – but that has never been an issue. I grew up and went to college in the late 60’s and there was trouble everywhere. As a matter of fact I transferred to Kent State for my sophomore year and that was when the shootings took place. I was never particularly loved or nurtured which took me a really long time to come to terms with and change.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I dress people for the day they want, by bringing out their essence with style. When they speak they are aligned in the way they appear making them more successful and confident.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
My Values: Kindness – Truthfulness – Integrity – Depth – Humor – Hope and Growth.
These Values give me a compass that never fails.
