Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacqueline Reyes.
Hi Jacqueline, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I grew up in Los Angeles, surrounded by a big family, culture, and the values that continue to shape who I am today. As a first-generation Latina, I was raised by a strong mother whose sacrifices gave me opportunities she never had.
I’ve always been a doer. Even as a young girl, I was someone who loved taking initiative, creating, and finding ways to make things happen. I’ve always believed that if there was something I wanted to achieve, I had to be willing to put in the work, stay consistent, and believe in myself before anyone else did.
When I was 17, I experienced the loss of my father, a moment that changed my perspective on life. It taught me the importance of appreciating every day, and making the most of the time we are given. During that season of my life, I found strength through self-development. I turned to fitness, not only as a way to become stronger physically, but as a way to heal, reconnect with myself, and grow mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
What started as a personal commitment became a passion. I realized I wanted to help others experience that same feeling of empowerment. That passion eventually became my full-time career. Today, I have the privilege of helping others prioritize their health, and discover their own strength.
As I continued to grow in the wellness space, I realized my purpose extended beyond individual transformation, it was about creating connection, belonging, and community. That vision led me to co-found the Beverly Hills Run Club with my friends. BHRC is now a community where people from different backgrounds come together, build friendships, network, and support one another.
My desire to continue learning and provide even more value to my clients also led me back to nursing school. I have always believed that growth requires curiosity, humility, and the willingness to keep challenging yourself. Returning to school allowed me to expand my knowledge and combine my passion for wellness with a deeper understanding of health.
Throughout my journey, I’ve learned that we all have a purpose bigger than ourselves. Our experiences, challenges, and passions are not just meant for us, they are meant to be shared. We are all given unique gifts so that we can create an impact, inspire others.
My story is a reminder that where you come from is part of your strength. The sacrifices of those before you, the challenges you overcome, and the lessons you learn become the foundation you build upon. My goal has always been to continue growing, continue serving, and continue creating spaces where people feel empowered to become the strongest version of themselves.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of my biggest challenges has been learning how to balance ambition with everything life requires. Building a career in wellness, my personal life, creating a community through the Beverly Hills Run Club, and returning to school have all pushed me in ways I never expected. Each opportunity has been exciting, but they have also required a lot of discipline, sacrifice, and learning how to manage my time and energy.
There have been many seasons where my days start early and end late, balancing work, studying, assignments, and the responsibilities that come with building something meaningful. On top of that, working in the wellness industry comes with its own set of expectations. There can be pressure to always look your best, stay consistent with your workouts, prioritize your health, and show up as someone who has it all figured out.
The discipline that helped me transform my own life is the same discipline that continues to help me grow today. Every challenge has taught me patience, resilience, and the importance of staying connected to my purpose. I’ve realized that success isn’t about having everything figured out or making the journey look effortless. It’s about continuing to show up even if some days aren’t your best, being willing to learn, and having the courage to grow through every season of life.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
With over 10 years of experience in the health and wellness space, my mission has always been to bridge the gap between health and wellness by making education, movement, and healthy habits more approachable.
Throughout my career, I’ve seen that many people want to prioritize their health, but they often feel overwhelmed by conflicting information, unrealistic expectations, or the idea that wellness has to be all or nothing.
That same vision is what inspired me to start the Beverly Hills Run Club. I wanted to create a community where people could connect, find support, and experience the power of surrounding themselves with others who value health and personal growth.
I am most proud of building a brand that is centered around connection, education, and empowerment. My goal is to help people understand that wellness is not a destination it is a lifelong relationship with yourself. When you have the right knowledge, support, and community around you, creating a healthy lifestyle becomes something that feels possible.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I truly believe that no one builds something meaningful alone. There are so many people who have played a role in shaping who I am and supporting me throughout this journey.
First and foremost, my parents deserve so much credit. My mother has been one of my greatest inspirations. Watching her sacrifice, work hard, and continue to show up for our family taught me the meaning of resilience, discipline, and unconditional love. She gave me the foundation and values that continue to guide me today. Losing my father at a young age also shaped the way I view life and motivated me to make the most of every opportunity. The lessons and values my parents gave me continue to influence the way I lead.
My partner has also been an incredible source of support throughout this journey. Building a career, continuing my education, and creating a community requires a lot of dedication, and having someone who believes in my vision, encourages my growth, and supports me through the demanding seasons has meant so much.
I am also incredibly grateful for my clients and the people who have trusted me throughout my career. They have allowed me to be part of their health and wellness journeys, and their stories continue to remind me why I do what I do. Every person I have worked with has taught me something and has reinforced my belief that wellness is about so much more than physical transformation, it’s about connection, confidence, and helping people believe in themselves.
I am grateful for every person who has supported me, challenged me, and believed in me along the way. Their support has allowed me to continue growing, and it motivates me to keep creating spaces where others feel empowered to grow as well.
