Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Cheyenne Bryant.
Hi Dr. Cheyenne, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started as a young girl who was working through my own trauma especially the wounds of abandonment. I wasn’t trying to build a brand or create a career. I was trying to heal. Along that journey, I discovered tools and resources that helped me work through my trauma, become healthier mentally and emotionally, and create a better quality of life for myself. Once I realized those tools were changing my life, I knew I couldn’t keep them to myself. So, I took what helped heal me, brought those tools together, and began sharing them through lectures, books, stages, and sessions. And eventually, I started watching the very same principles that changed my life begin to change the lives of other people. At the heart of it all, I’m still just a little girl from the inner city who had a big vision, a big heart, and a desire to help people who were hurting the way I once hurt. As a young girl, I made a commitment to God that I would give my all to changing every life I had the opportunity to touch. I’ve been walking in that purpose ever since. Today, I’m incredibly grateful that what began as my personal journey toward healing has grown into work that has impacted lives around the world. My pain introduced me to my purpose, but my purpose gave my pain meaning. And for every life I’ve been blessed to touch, I give God the glory.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has not been smooth. There have been challenges, disappointments, lonely seasons, and moments when I had more questions than answers. But there was never a moment when I stopped believing that God would keep His promise to me. My faith never wavered. I brought my questions to God. I learned to meditate daily, quiet the noise around me, listen clearly, and then have the courage to implement what my spirit was telling me to do. One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is to allow God to order my steps, not show me the entire staircase. I don’t need to see ten steps ahead. I take the step He gives me, trust His pace, trust His direction, and believe that the next step will reveal itself when I’m ready for it. Healing has also taught me how to walk through lonely places. Not because I didn’t have people who loved and supported me, but because there are parts of healing that nobody can do for you. People can walk beside you, pray for you, encourage you, and love you, but there are some internal places you have to be willing to enter yourself. I had to learn how to stay vertical in who I am, even when the road around me became crooked. I had to trust that God could make every crooked path straight. I had to trust God, trust myself, and trust the people He placed around me. And I had to become vulnerable enough to recognize when I needed help and humble enough to receive it. Looking back, I wouldn’t remove one hurdle. I wouldn’t erase one bump in the road. I wouldn’t take any of it back. Every challenge built something in me. It built my character. It strengthened my faith. It deepened my compassion. It gave me the tools and wisdom I now use to lead, teach, and serve other people.
Without those experiences, I wouldn’t be as vertical or as solid as I am today. I believe everything happens for a reason. Even the things that challenged me were ultimately working for me, not simply happening to me. And perhaps the greatest blessing is that what God used to develop me, He now allows me to use to serve others.
So I don’t regret the road. The road prepared me for the assignment.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
The Dr. Bryant Institute was born from something very personal to me my own journey of healing, self-discovery, and transformation. I took the tools, principles, and practices that helped me transform my own life and developed them into a framework that could help other people do the same.
At the heart of the Dr. Bryant Institute is a simple belief: people deserve more than inspiration they deserve tools that create transformation.
We specialize in life coaching, personal development, relationship and family coaching, group coaching, and business and corporate coaching. We also train and certify coaches through our Hybrid Life Coaching Certification Program, giving others practical tools to help people create healthier, more intentional and fulfilling lives.
What sets the Dr. Bryant Institute apart is our Hybrid approach. We don’t simply focus on where a person wants to go; we help them understand what may be preventing them from getting there. Our work encourages people to examine their patterns, experiences, beliefs, emotions and behaviors while also developing actionable strategies for the life they want to create.
A major part of my philosophy is what I call the, three-part house: how you think, how you feel, and how you behave. When those three areas become aligned, you begin showing up differently in your relationships, career, purpose and, ultimately, your life.
What I’m most proud of brand-wise is that the Dr. Bryant Institute has grown beyond me. What began with my own desire to heal and help others has become a platform that equips people with tools they can carry into their homes, relationships, businesses and communities. Through our coaching and certification programs, we’re not only impacting individuals we’re developing other coaches who can continue that impact.
I want people to know that the Dr. Bryant Institute isn’t about creating dependency on a coach. It’s about helping people develop the awareness, accountability and tools to become active participants in changing their own lives.
I’m a little girl from the inner city who took what helped me transform my life and turned it into something that could serve others. To now see those principles reaching people beyond my community and impacting lives on a much globally is one of the things I’m most proud of.
For me, the brand has never simply been about building a successful business. It’s about building a legacy of transformation. If one person gains the tools to change their life, they can change their family. Changed families can change communities. And changed communities can ultimately change generations.
That’s what the Dr. Bryant Institute represents to me: healing, growth, self-mastery, purpose, and transformation that multiplies.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Some of my favorite childhood memories are in the home where my grandmother Maria and my grandfather Bailey raised me. That house was always filled with family my aunts, uncles, cousins, and everybody in between. We would sit around talking, playing cards, watching movies, laughing nonstop, and just enjoying being together while my grandmother cooked us a delicious meal. The holidays were especially memorable. Our home would be filled with food, love, laughter, and family. It wasn’t about what we had; it was about who we had. We weren’t a perfect family by any means, but we were a family that stuck together. We had each other’s backs, we showed up for one another, and we had a hell of a lot of love. When I think back on my childhood, those are the moments I treasure most. That house taught me the value of community, connection, loyalty, and having a village. Long before I understood how important those things would become in my life and my work, I was experiencing them right there at home. Those memories remind me that some of the richest moments in life have nothing to do with money they’re the moments when the people you love are all under one roof, laughing together.
