Meet Stephanie Cashmere of Los Angeles,Ca

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Cashmere.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve always been an Overachiever- after figuring out how to graduate high-school early I knew I didn’t want to go to college. At that time I was 18 working at the Estee Lauder counter in Dillard’s and really enjoyed doing makeup and teaching women how to enhance their natural beauty so it only made sense for me to enroll in beauty school. I went to Marinello in Las Vegas which was a step back in time when it came to the beauty industry , I felt I was only there to obtain my 1800 hours required. From there my career began- I built an amazing private clientele in Las Vegas and continued to do everything I could creatively. I did countess weddings, photoshoots, music videos and shows traveling between Vegas and LA . I also had the opportunity to create the first Artistic Team for my salon and at that point I began teaching. From there I was reccommend to audition to become a Artist for Loreal Professionnel and that’s what brings me to where I am today. 20+ years in the industry still doing what I love ,traveling the world , educating and inspiring stylist while continuously elevating our industry.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Far from smooth that’s why I love sharing my story today. I once heard a quote about the 3 C’s and that stuck with me . You have the Choice to take a Chance or your life will never change- therefore I’ve taken every chance thrown my way wether I felt I was ready or not. That takes confidence and I’ve always found it interesting from the outside so many people think i’m “living the dream” without seeing all the hard work and consistency behind it. You have to have drive and be consistent if you want to succeed, dont follow the crowd or you’ll end up just “one of them”

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a hairstylist/educator and studio makeup artist with over 20 years of experience. I specialize in color specifically blondes and French Balayage. I was recently a founding “Gxver” for Gwen Stefani’s makeup line GXVE , it was so cool being selected and getting to meet my role model. Today most of my time is spent traveling and teaching stylist and the future of our industry as a Regional Educator for Loreal Professionnel. I teach hairstylist/salons how to make more money through confidence, education , and technique. I love sharing what I love, what works and what doesn’t and what has made me successful over the last few decades.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Yes- find a mentor, don’t ever lose inspiration and no matter what dont give up! The beauty industry is one of the most rewarding industry’s there is. There are so many different directions you can go in it and when you have a mentor or someone who believes in YOU magic happens!!! Also dont be afraid to ask questions- at this point it’s 2026 question everything! So many young stylist sit quite – ask questions, expand your mind, grow. Take a chance…
