Community Highlights: Meet Rachel Madar of IDRA Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Madar.

Hi Rachel , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My entrepreneurial journey began when I was 20 years old, when I opened my first spa business. At the time, I saw a business opportunity in the growing wellness and beauty industry and decided to take the leap into entrepreneurship.

What I didn’t expect was how much I would fall in love with the people behind the business.

Women would come into the spa for a treatment, but often what they really needed was a safe space to breathe, talk, and be heard. They would share their stories with me — their relationships, their struggles, their dreams, their disappointments, and the parts of their lives they were trying to figure out. I began to realize that what was happening in those conversations was often more powerful than the treatment itself.

That experience planted something very deep in me. I realized that I didn’t simply want to create beautiful spaces or successful businesses. I wanted to help people, especially women, reconnect with themselves, believe in their own possibilities, and grow into the next version of who they were meant to become.

That desire eventually led me into a very different chapter of my life. At 27, I dedicated myself to spiritual education and transformation and spent the next 25 years teaching and working with people through the Kabbalah Centre. During those years, I served as CEO of the Israeli branch, managed multiple locations, initiated and managed a variety of projects, and worked with people from many different cultures and backgrounds.

I also served as CEO of the Kids Creating Peace Foundation, where I was involved in creating opportunities for children from different communities to come together and build understanding.

Those 25 years gave me an extraordinary education in people. I learned how to lead organizations and teams, develop programs, speak to large audiences, build communities, and create meaningful experiences. But most importantly, I continued to witness the same thing I had discovered in my spa at 20: beneath our accomplishments and the roles we play, people are searching for connection, meaning, healing, and a deeper relationship with themselves.

After 25 years in one organization, I found myself entering one of the biggest periods of reinvention in my own life. I was leaving an organization that had defined a large part of my adult life, navigating a major personal transition, and watching my daughter begin her own life. I had to ask myself: Who am I now, and what do I want to create with everything I have learned?

The answer was entrepreneurship again — but this time, bringing together everything I had learned about business, spirituality, leadership, wellness, and human transformation.

That became the foundation for IDRA Wellness.

I founded IDRA with the belief that wellness is not simply about how we look or how we care for our bodies. True wellness is about how we live, how we feel, how we connect, and how consciously we create our lives. IDRA brings together wellness products, rituals, experiences, and ancient wisdom to help people create moments of reconnection in their everyday lives.

Alongside IDRA, I have continued developing my work as a speaker, teacher, mentor, retreat leader, and author. My work today focuses on transformation, conscious leadership, self-care, and helping people navigate the moments in life when they know they are ready for something different.

My book, Whispers to the Light, is another expression of that journey. It is rooted in more than 25 years of studying and teaching ancient wisdom and explores the practice of having a daily, personal conversation with the Creator.

Looking back, I can see that the different chapters of my life were not really separate chapters at all. The spa I opened at 20, the women who trusted me with their stories, my years of spiritual education, my leadership experience, my work with communities, and the businesses and programs I am creating today are all connected by the same purpose.

I have always been drawn to the moment when someone says, “I know there is more for me, but I don’t know what it is yet.”

That is the moment I love working with.

Today, my mission is to create spaces, experiences, and tools that help people — particularly women navigating change and reinvention — reconnect with themselves, recognize their own possibilities, and consciously create their next chapter.

Because I believe we are never too old, too far along, or too deeply defined by our past to begin again.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely. I think that addition makes the answer much more powerful because it shows that CREATION: RE:SET™ was born from lived experience, not simply developed as a business concept. It also connects your personal reinvention directly to the work you are doing for other women.

Absolutely not. And honestly, I don’t think a meaningful journey is supposed to be completely smooth.

There have been many moments in my life when I had to let go of something familiar before I knew what was coming next. One of the biggest transitions was leaving the Kabbalah Centre after 25 years. It wasn’t simply leaving a job or an organization — it meant stepping away from a community, an identity, and a chapter that had shaped most of my adult life.

At the same time, I was going through a major personal transition. After 20 years of marriage, I went through divorce, while also experiencing the natural transition of watching my daughter grow up and begin her own life. Suddenly, many of the roles I had built my identity around were changing at the same time.

There were definitely moments of uncertainty. Starting again as an entrepreneur, especially while building IDRA Wellness, has required courage, patience, and a willingness to keep going even when the outcome isn’t guaranteed. Building a business takes much more than having a good idea. It requires resilience, learning from mistakes, managing uncertainty, and continuing to believe in the vision when things don’t move as quickly as you hoped.

But perhaps the hardest part wasn’t the external challenges. It was the internal question: “Who am I now?”

When so much of your life has been defined by being a mother, a wife, a leader, a teacher, and part of an organization, stepping into a new chapter requires you to redefine yourself from the inside out.

Going through my own transition also gave me a deeper understanding of what so many women experience when life changes unexpectedly. We often know how to build a career, raise a family, take care of everyone else, and fulfill our responsibilities — but no one really teaches us how to navigate the moment when the life we built no longer feels like the life we are meant to live.

That realization led me to develop my CREATION: RE:SET™ method, a transformational framework designed to support women through major life transitions and help them consciously create their next chapter.

The method was born from both my professional experience and my own personal journey. It gives women a structured way to pause, reflect, release what no longer serves them, reconnect with who they are, reclaim their vision, and begin creating from a place of greater alignment rather than fear or uncertainty.

I have learned that reinvention isn’t about becoming someone completely different. It’s about remembering who you were before life told you who you were supposed to be — and then consciously deciding who you want to become next.

The struggles along the way have actually become some of my greatest teachers. They have made me more compassionate, more courageous, and more committed to helping other women navigate their own transitions.

Today, when I work with women who feel lost, stuck, or uncertain about their next chapter, I don’t speak from a place of having everything figured out. I speak from experience.

I’ve had to begin again too.

And I’ve learned that sometimes the chapter that feels like an ending is actually the beginning of the most authentic version of your life.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My business is IDRA Wellness, a luxury wellness brand built around the belief that self-care should be more than something we do — it should be something we experience.

While I am the founder and the vision behind IDRA, I see Rachel Madar as the larger personal brand and philosophy, and IDRA Wellness as the tangible expression of that philosophy. IDRA allows us to bring wellness into people’s everyday lives through products, rituals, experiences, and practices that support emotional well-being.

At the heart of IDRA is our collection of 13 signature fragrances. Each fragrance has its own emotional intention and story, inspired by different states of being and universal human experiences — from tranquility and sleep to abundance, joy, connection, grounding, and self-love. The idea is to use scent as a gateway into an emotional experience, rather than simply creating something that smells beautiful.

But IDRA is much more than fragrance.

We have created an entire wellness ecosystem around the products. Our collection includes essential oil blends, sprays, body and massage products, bath salts, guided practices, meditations, and workbooks. The intention is to help people turn an ordinary moment into a meaningful ritual.

For example, someone can use an IDRA scent while taking a bath, listening to a guided meditation, journaling, breathing, or simply creating a few minutes of quiet. The product becomes a tool for consciously shifting the energy of a moment.

That is what I believe makes IDRA different.

We are not simply selling wellness products. We are creating experiences around them.

I also wanted IDRA to sit at the intersection of luxury, beauty, wellness, and emotional well-being. The products are designed to be beautiful enough to live in your home and meaningful enough to become part of your personal rituals. We are creating a brand that feels elevated without losing the deeper intention behind it.

Another important part of IDRA is our commitment to conscious creation. Our products are made with intention, are natural, cruelty-free, and designed to support a more mindful approach to self-care.

The word IDRA comes from Aramaic and represents unity and gathering. That idea is deeply embedded in the brand. Wellness is not only about the individual; it is also about how we connect with ourselves, with others, and with the world around us.

What I am most proud of brand-wise is that we have created something that bridges the physical and the emotional. A beautiful fragrance can change how a room feels. A ritual can change how a person feels. And when we intentionally create those moments, small acts of self-care can become powerful anchors in our lives.

My vision is for IDRA to become a global wellness ecosystem — one that can live in people’s homes, luxury spas, hotels, wellness retreats, and everyday rituals, while continuing to evolve into new experiences and offerings.

Ultimately, I want people to experience IDRA and feel that they have been invited to pause, breathe, reconnect, and come back to themselves.

That is what IDRA means to me: wellness that you can feel.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
There are many ways people can connect with me and with IDRA Wellness, depending on what they are looking for.

For individuals, people can experience IDRA Wellness through our collection of 13 signature fragrances and wellness products, which are available through our online store and Amazon. I also offer transformational experiences, private mentoring, retreats, workshops, and speaking engagements for people who want to go deeper into personal transformation, conscious leadership, and creating their next chapter.

For women navigating a significant life transition, I offer CREATION: RE:SET™, my transformational method designed to help women pause, reassess where they are, reconnect with who they are becoming, and consciously create their next chapter.

I am also very open to collaborations. I love partnering with people and organizations that share our belief that wellness can be both meaningful and elevated. This includes wellness practitioners, spas, hotels, retreats, beauty and lifestyle brands, corporations, women’s communities, and organizations looking to create unique wellness experiences.

There are also exciting opportunities for IDRA to be incorporated into hospitality and wellness environments — from hotel and spa experiences to wellness kits, retreats, events, and corporate gifting. I believe there is a beautiful opportunity to bring emotional wellness into places where people are already looking to pause, restore, and reconnect.

For those who want to support the brand, one of the simplest ways is to experience IDRA, share it with someone who might benefit from it, or follow and engage with the journey as we continue to grow.

Ultimately, I am always looking for meaningful collaborations rather than simply transactional partnerships. If someone believes in the idea that wellness should support the whole person — body, mind, emotions, and spirit — I would love to hear from them.

I am building IDRA with the intention of creating something much bigger than a product line, and I am excited to connect with people who want to help bring that vision into the world.
