Meet Neil Estrada of Deal With Neil, Inc – State Farm Insurance

Today we’d like to introduce you to Neil Estrada.

Hi Neil, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My name is Neil Estrada – President & Founder of the 501C3 Filipino Influential Leaders And Mentors aka FILAM.

I would say that I got my first taste of community service when I was Publicity Chair and then President of PASA back at my alma mater – Cal State Fullerton.
I also went to serve as president for a few other community organizations including the Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Orange County.

When the pandemic hit back in the first quarter of 2020 there was a great deal of uncertainty in pretty much all aspects of life. Some of the biggest ones were of course health, income, employment, food and simple day to day necessities. Information was especially vital. FILAM was founded during the pandemic in July 2020. We wanted to be an information depot and cast a wide net for resources for our community.
Our board of directors was formed with strong community ties and diverse backgrounds of expertise. One thing we all had in common as a board is that we have all had prior non-profit experience.

Because of the make of FILAM’s board of directors and our experience we were able to quickly provide online networking events, workshops, and educational series. Then as we came out of the pandemic, we were able to transition to have these events in person. We were fortunate to receive some grants and sponsorship for our work.

Today, some of our signature events include FREE AI workshops, The Entrepreneurs Edge, The Expert Exchange, Philippine Independence Day _ OC, and Filipino Heritage Night with the Angels. We also plan to bring back our Golf Tournament supporting the Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental in 2027 as well.

But when it all boils down to it, I do this because when my parent immigrated to the US in hopes of a better life for us, I as I lookback at my years of growing up, I know that my parents didn’t have the connections, resources, knowledge, and information which could have had a huge positive impact on their lives and ultimately mine and my siblings. I want to make sure that everyone gets the resources to learn, develop, grow, and make positive impacts and contributions to their community and society in general. Whenever I visit the Philippines, where I was born and go into the provinces and towns where my family is from and see and interact with the local folks especially the children, it makes me appreciate everything that I have today. It inspires me to go out and do more. Some of those kids back in the Philippines where I was born will never even be aware of what life can be for them if they had the resources, knowledge, and guidance.. I will forever be grateful for my parents sacrifices especially for taking the chance and coming to America

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There are always bumps along the way. You sometimes run into other agendas, politics, differences in opinions, and people who just want to do nothing or want to see you fail

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a State Farm Agent dealing in personal and business insurance along with financial services.
I am known for giving people an honest answer and evaluation.
What I believe sets me apart is my integrity. I believe in doing what’s right for the customer and their situation not looking out for what would help me and my numbers.
I’m most proud of being branded as a person of sincerity and trust.
What i would like our readers to know is that we offer a full service of insurance products, financial services, and even things that you wouldn’t guess such as personal and business banking

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I loved the books, cds videos that deal in persona development. Going back a little bit, Tony Robbins, Darren Hardy, and Bob Proctor were some of the ones I originally listened to and I still listen to them today. I also love learning about artificial intelligence and how it can help people and businesses.
