Today we’d like to introduce you to Tania CASSILL.
Hi Tania, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I come from an extensive background in fashion merchandising and management. Textiles, craftsmanship, and design have always been my passion—the medium simply shifted from clothing and lifestyle to spaces, finishes, and furnishings. Instead of curating wardrobes, I now curate homes. The transition from fashion to interior design was seamless and felt purposeful.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Business growth is rarely linear; it is a journey defined by both significant milestones and operational challenges. During periods of rapid scaling, managing a high volume of projects often demands extended hours and immense dedication from our team. Ultimately, exceptional interior design relies just as heavily on robust project management and proactive client communication as it does on creating beautiful, timeless spaces.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As the founder and principal designer of huit design, a boutique firm based in Laguna Beach, California, I specialize in ground-up new construction, comprehensive home renovations, and commercial design. Our core mission is to create inviting, highly purposeful, and curated environments that seamlessly reflect our clients’ unique lifestyles or brand identities.
.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I love collaborating with other artists and creating one of a kind details in a project. I have designed stunning chandeliers with Siemon and Salazar and installed dramatic macrame ropes with Jim Olarte.
