Check Out Alisa Reyes’ Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alisa Reyes.

Hi Alisa, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Growing up in Manhattan, New York, I always dreamed of being on TV from a young age. I even tried to stick my head into the television, and my mother—God rest her soul—would gently remind me, “Alisa, that’s not how you get onto Sesame Street.” With my Irish and Italian mother and Dominican father, I like to say I’m a little bit of the United Nations. My mother, Brenda, was my guiding light, always supporting my aspirations, whether it was in the arts, dance, singing, or acting. She was my rock, ensuring my dreams became a reality. I began taking dance, singing, and acting lessons around the age of four and started working professionally by seven. I joined SAG-AFTRA in 1990 and landed my first series regular role on Nickelodeon’s “All That,” making me the only original cast member from their nationwide search who was cast in New York. Prior to my Nickelodeon days, I was busy doing commercials, music videos, films, television, modeling, and industrials. Once I started working at Nickelodeon, everything changed—the magic was undeniable, and I finally felt like I had found my blueprint and purpose in life. After four memorable seasons on “All That,” I made the tough decision to move on, as I felt a calling for sitcoms and more television and film opportunities. I was then offered a series regular role on “One World,” which aired on TNBC as part of NBC’s Saturday morning lineup and was produced by the late, great Peter Engel. For my role as Marci Blake on “One World,” I was honored to receive a Hollywood Reporter Young Star Award. I later joined other shows like “Passions,” where I played series regular roles as Kelly and Sydney Valentine, allowing me to sing and perform—something I loved, especially since I majored in musical theater at PPAS in Manhattan, NY. I trained at amazing institutions like Broadway Kids, National Dance Institute, Joffrey Ballet, and Ballet Hispanico, Playhouse West, just to name a few. I even had a record deal with Hollywood Records as part of a girl group called ‘3Gs”, which featured a song on “The Princess Diaries” soundtrack titled “Second Chance.” My journey continued with roles in shows like “The Bold and the Beautiful” as the role of Ginger, “Six Feet Under”, “Strong Medicine”, “ER”, “NYPD Blue”, “Spyder Games”, “American Family”, “Boston Public”, “Without a Trace”, “Broken Karaoke”, “Theme Song Takeover” and more. I also ventured into voice acting, becoming a series regular on the award-winning Disney Plus animated show
“The Proud Family”, where I voice the role of “Lacienega”. The show made a comeback in 2022, and I was thrilled to return with the original cast for new seasons. They even created a doll of my character, fulfilling a lifelong dream! Along the way, I starred in films like “Sisters”, “Break Even”, “A Trip to the Dark Side” & “My Trip Back to the Dark Side”, “Freezer Burn”, “Players”, “TheBiz”, “Heavenly Deposit”, among others. When I’m not on set, I enjoy producing, writing, and coaching acting to students of all ages, along with motivational speaking when my schedule allows. This summer, I’m excited to record new music with an incredible team—shoutout to ATO Worldwide (Kehinde Martin), Korey Goodwyn, Aventine, and Basshead for bringing their magic into my life! Above all, my priority is myfamily and my beautiful daughter, Rosemary, who is almost five and thriving. Everything I do is for her, and I strive to be a positive role model for her now and always.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The path of creativity is rarely without its hurdles, but my unwavering faith in God and my strong support system have been my pillars of strength. Starting my career at a young age meant navigating a world that often felt unconventional. While I had to travel frequently and miss cherished moments, I have no regrets. Each experience has been a vital part of my growth. In every challenge, I found an opportunity to rise, to embrace the unknown, and to say “yes” to the journey ahead. I believe that struggles are merely stepping stones on the path to ascension, guiding us toward our highest selves. Every twist and turn has shaped me into the artist and person I am today, and I am grateful for the lessons learned along the way.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As an actress, producer, singer, and writer, my journey has been a beautiful tapestry woven with passion and purpose. I am a proud New Yorker with Irish, Italian, and Dominican roots, and I now reside in California, where my artistic expression thrives. I am perhaps best known for my vibrant role as La Cienega Boulevardez on Disney Plus beloved animated award NAACP/Emmy award winning show called “The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder,” which is returning with its final season & with all-new episodes starting July 29, 2026, including a heartwarming Christmas special later this year. It fills me with joy to bring this character to life. My artistic journey began at a young age, and I made my mark as a series regular on “All That,” which aired on Nickelodeon where I was honored to be part of the original cast. It was a full circle moment returning back to be apart of the reboot which allowed me to help pass the torch to the new cast & new generation of fans. My experience spans a multitude of genres and in addition to my television & film work, check me out in Xbox’s newest video game called “Starfield” where I play multiple characters like Lilian Hart, Sammie, the voice of the Ai & Juno!  You can also watch me in the empowering documentary “Butterfly in the Sky,” which celebrates the legacy of “Reading Rainbow” which aired on PBS & its positive impact on family programming. I was on Reading Rainbow as a child & being apart of this documentary meant the world to me! I also produced a documentary titled “The Orange Years,”  directed by
Scott Barber which explores the nostalgia of Nickelodeon & its uplifting vibration of kids content, now available on streaming platforms & for purchase. My music career continues to flourish, with singles like “Back & Forth” and “Sexy Hot” currently available on all major platforms. I even had a few radio shows on Sirius Radio where I was a voice jockey along with my own podcast called “The Alisa Reyes Show” which aired on Blogtalk Radio.

Fun fact about me, I even had my own boat racing team with a company called Super Boat International based out of Key West, FL. I drove a 29 footer Fountain Mercury where I was sponsored by Dollhouse Footwear.

As a devoted mother to my beautiful daughter, Rosemary, I strive to be a role model, instilling values of love, light, and resilience in her. What truly sets me apart is my unwavering commitment to uplift humanity and inspire others. I believe in the power of the law of attraction and the importance of sticking to our original blueprints. I am dedicated to sharing my journey, supporting charitable causes, and empowering others to embrace their authentic selves. Through all my endeavors, my heart beats for connection, creativity, and community, and I am excited to continue evolving and growing in this journey of ascension.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
As we navigate through 2026, our industry stands on the brink of transformation, fueled by the rapid evolution of technology and the rise of AI. I envision a landscape rich with opportunities for growth, creativity, and connection. These changes will allow us to explore new realms of storytelling, pushing the boundaries of what we can achieve. While the industry is shifting, I remain committed to my journey of ascension, embracing the changes with an open heart. I believe that as we align with our original blueprints and recognize our collective oneness, we will create a more inclusive and loving environment in the arts. Love is the key to our personal and collective evolution, and I am excited to be a part of this beautiful journey together.
